2001 Subaru Impreza RSVX 3.3L H6

    Hello all! Never thought that i 'd see the day after i bought it, but i need to put the RSVX up for sale and let her go to a new home.

    If you are looking to RallyX, this car is specifically set up for it and rips through the dirt!

    Asking price: $3,000 obo
    -$2,000 obo without rally rims and tires.

    -$2,500 obo with the rims/tires.
    Tires rim package: nearly brand new Team Dynamics rims in black with non-street legal rally gravel tires(4 rims and 5 tires total).


    -2001 2.5RS sedan with 1992 Subaru SVX 3.3L H6 swap.
    -5spd manual(2.5 RS transmission)
    -Car was originally silver but was plasti dipped black by previous owner.

    The Good:
    -Corbeau driver side race seat(will include RS drivers seat)
    -Most of the interior is there.
    -Radio works for driving to the track.
    -Has good set of Winterforce winter tires mounted on stock RS 6 spoke rims.
    -Brakes have been gone through and rotors/pads were replaced along with fluids. Calipers upgraded to WRX.
    -STi springs up front to support the weight of the H6 with WRX struts.(these struts are probably ready for replacement)
    -Interstate battery is a little over a year old.

    The Bad:
    -Rust on rocker and rear quarters.
    -a couple of the dash lights didn't get squared away with the harness merge, so they don't work.
    -could use new brake lines(I'd recommend some SS lines)
    -fan for the radiator runs off of a toggle switch. I usually flip it on once lined up and idling while waiting for my run. But it has been solid.
    *edit*...fan switch is not working. Quick rewire will solve the problem.
    -has a passenger side valve cover gasket leak.(i have always monitored the oil level and haven't had any issues besides it burning off of the exhaust manifold)

    but, you could buy this one finished, and sell the unfinished one? :D

    I also have the RS fog lights. They just aren't on the car.

    Tie rod ends were replaced also, along with the driverside wheel bearing.

    And did i mention that this thing hauls ass!? Every time that i've ever gone to start it, it fires right up.

    Really, it just needs some new brake lines and she'd be good to go!

    I would love to see one of these. I always wished Subaru didn't suck and they put 6cyl motors in a variety of models. How nice would it be to buy an first gen fozzy with an H6?!

    At any rate, GLWS!!! If I could sell my OBS today and had some spare dough I'd be in your driveway drooling!

    It wasn't that labor intensive. Just not a very straightforward, well documented swap.

    Should mention I tore down and inspected the motor when I swapped the car. Head gasket leak mentioned earlier is probably a typo/mistake. Would assume valve cover gasket leak.

    I pitched a 4 car setup to my fiance (DD, autox car, road course car, and rallyx car), and that was frowned upon, so I doubt 3 cars will fly either...otherwise I'd be picking this up! glws, 'twould make an excellent rallyx car!

    It would! And i think that you can really never have to many cars.(don't tell my wife that i said that tho)

    Bump from the dead. The RSVX is on the block again.

    Price drop to $2,000 obo.

    With the amazing Team Dynamics in black with 4 mounted “off road use only-non DOT legal for street” rally gravel tires and 1 unmounted spare, $2,500 obo.

    With these tires and Sheen behind the wheel last year, this car was the fastest car of the November event in the Modified AWD class(top rallyx class).

    If you want a torque monster with amazing rims and tires, hit me up!!

    I feel your pain in parting with this and the bugeye, thought about doing the same thing myself many times but could never go through with it. Would love to give the RSVX a good home but with 4 cars already in the driveway I'm not sure it's the best idea. Good luck with both and I hope you enjoy the BRZ.
