We recently bought my wife a new car and decided after moving we really don't need a full sized wagon, so we downsized her to a smaller hatchback as well.

Despite my best efforts, she won't green light me doing an M5 swap or an LS1 swap to this and keep it.

    Here's the skinny on it:

    2002 BMW E39- 525i Touring Wagon
Toledo Blue Metalic, Tan leather, Sport package, cold weather package, Nav, I6 with the auto with sport shift.

    Positives:
Insanely rare color, Toledo blue metalic
has the winter package, sport package, and NAV (non working, never cared to look as to why)
    absolutely fantastic handling still
    crazy cargo load abilities
    extremely comfortable to drive
won't ever get cheaper to buy as they seem to be rebounding in price again
Awesome wheels that fit E39's and X5's
Very minimal rust, most of which is just on the rear hatch under the glass.
    Very minimal dings or dents.

    Negatives:
180k on the odometer, highish miles, but runs and drives well.
Burns some oil and there is a leak, as they all do and have.
Driver's window regulator broke again (cheapish parts, they break pretty often according to Eli @ BMW)
Interior trim is showing wear and abuse from the previous owner's kids (god damned brat kids)
Clear coat has started to wear down or flake in some areas as the car was from Texas.

    Options for you:
Car, as is, as it sits in my garage in Carver with 3/4 tank of gas- $2500 cold hard cash.

Car, as it sits in my garage with the current wheels AND BBS meshie wheels with shot winters- $3000

Let me know, you could come see the car today after I'm off work if you'd like, it's at my place in Carver.

Would be open to reasonable offers.

    Chris

I can vouch for the way this car runs and drives. Tons of cargo space too

Are you talking about Chris, or the car?

Either way, I can vouch for both.

    Bump,

Getting tired of random and stupid Craigslist emails... someone buy this and use it, it doesn't get driven.
