FYI, I am posting this for a long standing member of MNAutoX who does not have an account here. If this is an issue please let me know. He is a legit seller and I wouldn't be posting if I didn't think he was a stand up guy.

This is my ex-wifes car. it needs to go now, and here's the deal:

The dealer did an inspection and came up with a list of stuff. I will either sell the car as it is for someone to take care of these things, or I will do the work myself and raise the price accordingly.

    2002 Impreza Outback Wagon
    Automatic transmission
    All the usual power stuff
    115,000 miles
Well cared for with oil changes every 3,000 miles
Lots of little scrapes and some dings...it is not perfect. No rust though.
I also have an un-installed trailer hitch for it that will go with it.
    New all season tires.

    The dealers list:
They say a head gasket is leaking - I have not confirmed this.
It has not had the timing belt done yet...so these kind of go hand in hand.
Torn CV boot, driver side front.
    Minor exhaust leak
Needs front brake pads - 5mm left.
    Driver mirror housing broken.

It has it's share of little dings and dents, cracked front bumper cover, and I did discover the first formations of rust at the rear wheel arches. Clear coat is also coming off the top edge of the passenger's front fender....weird. So...it's not a cream puff looker, but it's pretty solid.

It's always been very reliable...and I will have to take a closer look at this head gasket thing. I recall this perhaps being a common issue with these engines? Last time I drove it, I thought it was fine.

I am going on a 3 weeks vacation and will not get to this any time soon. I've think we've settled on asking $2,800 as it is. Thsi would be a good flip for someone, or a fantastic Winter car if you are going to keep it. Please send inquiries/questions/offers, etc to evo160ax -at- y a h o o dot com

Selling for friends is not allowed. It's the ONLY bold, underlined and "starred" sentence in the entire rules listing:

Have them setup an account and sell it here if they'd like.
