I have a P0500 CEL. How does one get the sensor out of the transmission?
    Thanks
    Terry

Are your speedo and odo not working as well as getting the code?

Correct. No speedo or odo. Using my phone for speed as of Thursday.

Doesn't seem to have a rev limit that low. Does however cause the fans to run constantly. It is the sensor right behind the bell housing on the passenger side. I just need to know how to remove the little plastic demon.

Thanks. I have the factory service manual too. Just wasn't sure on the removal of the part. Gonna see if I can get it loose with some vise grips. No wrenches fit.

Did you try soaking it in anything before hand? Kano Kroil in my experiences has worked wonders and loosening everything up for deposits.
