Hello, guys and girls. I wanted to check the MNSubaru community to see if there might be an enthusiast interested in purchasing my 2004 Subaru Forester XT (premium package). I've had it on Craigslist for a few days now but realized I should have also posted here on the board for those who don't browse CL.

It has right under 120,000 miles on the odometer and is a 4-speed AT so it handles rush hour traffic just fine. However it is clean, drives like a dream, shifts gears well, and accelerates like a beast! This has been garaged kept and washed at least once every other week. For those who know me, I handle my cars well and I don't beat on it. I believe this contributes to the condition of this FXT and it is in gooood condition.

    Upgrades included:
    NF tuned for ~12 psi.
catless uppipe and high flow cat downpipe installed (stock catback for stealth)
    Grimspeed EBCS
35% tint up front & 20% tint in the rear
rhino bar on the lift gate
    dust delfector spoiler
17" Konig wheels mounted with Yoko AVID Ascend tires and locking lug nuts (fresh rubber installed this past April)
16" Subaru silver steel wheels with Hankook IPike winter tires used for 2 seasons only. Grips of tread left on these.
Audiovox Prestige auto start system installed. This is both an autostart and car alarm system and works really well. The range is about 100 feet with no obstructions.

    Maintenance:
timing belt done around 90,000 miles 2 years ago.
AT fluid and rear diff fluids replaced last year.
sythetic oil has always been used and was just changed a few weeks ago along with subaru oil filters.
brake pads & rotors were changed on all 4 corners last year.
claybar'd and waxed this past spring.

**NOTE: just a couple of weeks ago, it started leaking oil out of the right side valve cover and dripping onto the exhaust manifold causing a burning rubber smell. This is a common theme with the EJ255 engine but at least it isn't as bad as a head gasket issue. I am taking it in to a local shop for repair this Monday.

I'm pricing this at $8,500 but I will lower it to $8,250 if someone wants to buy it with the valve cover oil leak.
Please, only contact me only if you're interested in the purchase. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy talking about cars (especially mine) but I am just too busy with life at the moment that I no longer have that kind of time.

    Thanks, man!

A little update. The valve cover has been fixed but she's still looking for a new home. If anyone you know who might be interested in an FXT, send them my way. Thanks!
