Excellent condition KBB is less than $15k. Good luck with that.

He had 24k gold gears put in the tranny for extra bling factor...give him a break.

mmmm ... nice and malleable, great for gears. I'm wondering what OP managed to do to his 6mt, which isn't exactly known for being weak. Oh, yeah, and a whole brand new sti tranny I'm pretty sure is less than $6k.

Just a suggestion to the OP, I'd list the mods and parts that you have on the car as well as the maintanence history. GLWS

Not gunna lie u could have put 20 grand into the car, but if it wasn't done by a popular well known performance shop your only going to get offers of book value. I've been there n it sucks but that's what people are going to offer.

Not really, you can have the best shop in town do all of your installs and still only get BV on it. Everyone knows that you never get your mod money back, that's why people put the stock bits back on and sell their aftermarket parts in part out threads.

Although, having a fresh tranny is a plus and not a really a mod. Good luck getting rid of the STi brotha, i've seen other prices on here that seemed way high and people still got rid of them. It could happen.

I do think $20k is too high, especially for something thats been rebuilt and modded.
    BUT
Clean retail NADA is ~$16k. When I was shopping for an 04-05 STI last year I didn't see any (decent) for sale below ~$17.5k.

But this car is not selling for retail, this is private party and even in good condition ( considering the 6 speed had to be rebuilt, its unliekly the car fully qualifys for the "good" condition ) it only tops out at 14 give or take.

To the OP, you need pics and more details. You cant expect any sale on this forum or the next with out a little more visual reference and history behind the car, especially if you are going to ask a premiem price.

    just the $ .02

i believe that a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it but you also cant expect to get what you put into it back. if that was the case, many people on here would be asking/getting alot more for their car then what they got.

It drives me crazy when I see someone come on here with 6 posts and try to sell a car or their parts. I wouldn't have a problem with it if they actually would check the thread or respond to questions or comments. I purchased my 05 STI in 2009 with 53,000 miles on it bone stock and in mint condition for the same price as your asking.

Seller approached me looking to trade yesterday said he wasn't on MN and didn't have his car up for sale. Then when I called him out on it he said "I meant I don't get on there much" still not answering why he told me he didn't have it posted for sale anywhere.

If what he said is true and he doesn't get on here much (more like new member and never been on here other then lurking) don't expect answers quickly

Who even wants answers? Guy with 4 posts says he's selling his car, says exactly zero ****s about it, tosses out a price 35%+ above book, justified by a [overpriced imho] tranny rebuild - which is a big red flag the car just might have been beat to snot. Shining example of how not to get your car sold.

Your on crack. STis like this are a dime a dozen. People, your replacing something that was in the car. It doesn't add value. Unless the original parts are included asking anything over NADA value is asking too much. It's a mass produced Subaru. Not a limited production car.

Way to get all bent out of shape in a thread that hasn't seen the light of day in a year and a half. Typical BMW owners ;)

Sure, but only if it comes with a $300 td04. I'm assuming it's a Limited and it's the cleanest in the state.
