What happened to the interior? It used to have good seats... Is the interior that came with the car still available?
ATTN: If you aren't aware, this was my old car. 99% of you are familiar with it, and how much I loved that car. I sold it for 12k. You do your own math. **** you.
YOU KNOW WHAT?! **** the site rules, **** potential backlash, **** getting fired from being a moderator....all that. This car deserved better. I sold this car for 12k. At the time, the indash screen had succumbed to the ultracold weather and died. And it needed new injectors. That's it. That's all it needed to be perfection in a box. What is missing....good question. From the pics, I can say for certain: Sparco front seats, matching door cards and rear seats (I had them custom upholstered professionally) HKS Camp with EGT/Boost gauges. PPG 1-4 straight cut gearset. (HOW THE HELL IS THAT MISSING?) There was a painted roof vane on there. IT looked great and was one of the more recognizable parts of my car Another recognizable part was the hood, I had one of the only remaining WRC hood vents made by gimmegears, and it was lodged in an RS hood. Might not be everyone's taste, but it sure looks better than a stock unpainted WRX hood with no scoop installed. And you're going to bring that on here and try to sell it for 5000 more than I sold it to you for? This isn't some obscure car, dude. This is MY car. And it was a fixture here for almost a decade. You think people don't know its history or mod list? That you can lose a PPG gearset, full sparco interior and an HKS Camp and think that ADDS nearly 50% value? Screw off. Like I said, I don't give a damn if I get fired and banned for this. But you wont be selling that here. Not for that price. Not while I'm still able to post.
Anyone want to bet what the over/under is for mileage on that 03 WRX trans lasting? Between the 6 puck clutch and the 500whp I'm guessing less than 5k miles. It's already living on borrowed time, that PPG set was in there for a reason.
This thread is so full of lulz its not even funny. Based on the mindset of the seller, I'd take the good mods he removed out of the car if he paid me $5,000, since removing things adds value. Also, you done goofed doucher. Fr33 3van!
Yes this was Jason's old car. The seats. They were too old, worn out with a few cigerette burn holes. And after hours and hours of cleaning them, which didn't help. So they were sold. 2nd gear went out on the ppg tranny, so a stock wrx tranny was installed at the time. And for the hks camp, I still have it. Just wasn't my taste. I don't see why people have to hate on my thread. A lot of time and money was spent onto the car after purchasing it from readymix. If you think 17k is too high of a price, feel free to hit the back button.
Pretty sure everyone looking to buy this car would like to know how did you break a straight cut PPG gear in 1500 miles of driving? and how is the stock 03 WRX transmission an upgraded value over the straight cut PPG gears?
Oh, and if you some how managed to break it... you shouldn't have. http://www.ppgearbox.com.au/page.asp?productid=1 they also have a warranty program that you could've contacted them about replacement, assuming that even happened.
Kudos to the OP: You brought Etchy and Shibbs out of retirement. That takes a certain something. Really, you should be proud of your level of failure here.
I'm sorry, but there isn't a spot on the internet you'll be able to sell this thing on without getting flagged/flamed/****ed out of existence. You should be utterly ashamed of yourself to even TRY to pull something like this on THE VERY FORUM THIS CAR HAS BECAME AN ICON OF. How in the royal **** do you mess a car that was basically given to you this badly? How do you not feel like manure covered manure in the bottom of an outhouse?
Sorry. A barely driven car that originally came w LPG gears - not even 1500 miles and blows 2nd gear? Crazy. OP - GLWTS
You do realize that nobody is going to buy a 17k WRX that they're going to have to buy a new transmission for within a few months, right? If you managed to break a PPG gearset than you must be an especially gifted driver, I'm sure that stock 03 gearset with an upgraded clutch and 500whp are already on their way out. Also, if you thought that trying to pull this on a site where anyone who's been here for the last decade knows that car and now what you've done to it would be a good idea you're dumb enough to make Corky look like a brain surgeon.
