Well, this weekend i had a chance to install my friends (not the one i discussed on my previous post) 05 LGT with the Cobb AP. I'm happy to say it was even easier than installing it on my WRX.

A stage 1 LGT is smooth and the power is impressive to say the least.

Before installation- It felt like my stage 1 rex.
After installation- I wouldn't even waste my time racing her. (yes, her!) She would walk me without any issues.

very soon I'll get my AP stage 2 or 2.5 done in my rex and have a rematch....I'll keep you posted.

Overall....very impressed!!!!!! A little luxury and a ton of zip!!!
FYI: 05 LGT manual with stage 1 91 map

If anyone has the newer LGT consider the $645 for the AP....it's worth it.

When you mean newer avcs what version are you talking about? Custom street tuning map?

I loaded the 91oct stage 1 base map. I believe it was v130, can't remember the exact number on the base map list screen.

I'm pretty sure she won't go any farther just yet. The car is new and she's coming from a minivan so just handling a faster car like this is still totally new to her.

As soon as my warranty is over with on the new GT I'll be going Stage 2 with it. It's soooo much easier to add power to this car than it was with my RS.

Yeah yeah, it may be sooner since I'm seeing that the stage 2 folks run perfectly reliable power.

I really want to get an AP and go stage 2 eventually but I want to try autocross this spring. I have heard that the best thing to do is start with a bone stock car as any mods will bump you into VERY competitive classes and you wont have a prayer.

Stg 1 on the LGT makes oodles of difference....the low end comes to life....u dont have to sit and wait for the spool.
word on the street is the stg2 is even better. I will look into it as soon as i can figure out (from those that have implemented it), whether an up-pipe is a must as well along with the down-pipe.
Also which vendors downpipe is better/install (justin gonna hook me up with the install i'm sure) ;)

Well, for stg2 you need a uppipe and a downpipe. Since you need to pull so much stuff to do just the dp, you might as well go the whole way and do the up at the same time. As for which pipe to do on the lgt, I think I would do the perrin. That is the one I am going to install when I do mine.

I don't suppose you'd take me for a ride in that thing to see what the difference is like over stock? I'm so teetering on the edge of just going stage 1 for a while
