Car has a blown turbo. I don't want to go down the rabbit hole of finding a new turbo, tune, intstall, etc, etc, etc.

I don't do any of my own maintenance, so this with labor costs is going to be very expensive.

IF NOT GONE IN 48 HOURS PLEASE CLOSE IT UP AS I WILL REPLACE THE TURBO. (Price might be ever so slightly negotiable) Thank you!

To limit, the limitless number of questions. I will post modifications and issues.
The story. Car was posted for $10,000 on CL. Its in extremely nice condition as you can imagine. After long negotiations back and forth we agreed at $8,800. Daily driven for a week. Boosted 20psi steady, lots of power. On Saturday I'm driving home and I lost boost all of the sudden. Took the next freeway exit and parked. Next day towed to the shop. They confirmed today that it is a blown turbo. Oil pressure is a steady 90psi. They want $2,500 down payment. The exact same turbo is $1,000 online if you want to replace with the same thing, but I might suggest a different turbo as this one toasted...

Purchased at 157,000 miles in near flawless condition. Previous 2 owners (the only owners) were both absolutely obsessed with keeping the car as perfect as possible. This is the limited model with heated leather, heated windshield and mirrors, dual auto climate, moonroof, power seat, better stereo, etc, loaded and very rare with a MANUAL transmission. Boosting 20PSI.

    Engine:

Gates Racing full timing belt kit with water pump and all idlers. Complete inspections at 143,000 miles and looked brand new. The turbo parts and clutch parts came to over $4300 (just the parts cost) at 143,000 mile install

TurboSmart BOV (fully recirculating for reliability)
Group N engine and tranny mounts
    AVO top mount intercooler TMIC
GrimmSpeed up-pipe (no banjo screens so you won’t’ blow your turbo, common LGT fix)
    DeatschWorks 850cc injectors
DeatschWorks high flow fuel pump (highly recommended fuel pump)
    CNT Racing bellmouth downpipe
Magnaflow dual catback exhaust w/electronic (switch activated) side exhaust cutout (LOUDER)
    Cobb intake
    Perrin turbo inlet tube
    GrimmSpeed 3 port EBCS
    Infamous performance oil control valve

Turbo new at 143k. This is the Six Star Speed STI VF52 custom turbo. Dual ceramic ball bearing and upgraded compressor wheel for more air flow and quicker boost. Requires 1/5th the oil of the stock thrust bearing STI VF turbo. This company builds Subaru turbos to be equal with aftermarket upgraded turbos. Advised for customers boosting over 18psi and good for 400+ whp. Cost about $1000 and similar to 18g twin scroll setup.

Cobb AP V2 with custom open source tune by NF Performance.

    Transmission:
Newer transmission was replace at 20,000 miles by first owner.
New clutch at 143k Competition Stage 2, with single mass lightweight flywheel (saves 36 pounds over stock!)

    Interior:
    Triple gauge pod
ProSport Premium halo series gauges (EXPENSIVE!) with peak/warning
Boost, wideband a/f ratio, and oil pressure
Carbon fiber inlays throughout the interior
Every bulb swapped out to LED
    Cobb short throw shifter
Ribbit Neo Chrome weighted shift knob (discontinued and very rare) stock knob included

    Exterior:

Brand new headlights at 157k (old ones were blemished and that was unacceptable to the previous owner)
    Yellow fog lights
    Tint
    Mesh grill
    Black front bumper “chin”
No front plate holes at all (clean!)
    Rally Armor mud flaps

    Wheels and tires:

    Brand new not long ago
    Neo Chrome lug nuts (EXPENSIVE!)
    XXR 530 18x7.5 chromium black (hyper black/silver)
    21 pounds, 5x100/5x114 dual bolt, 38 offset, 73.1 centerbore

    Tires – 215/40/18 Neo Gens?

PLEASE PM WITH YOUR NUMBER IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Well I'm putting a brand new VF52 on there. The car is still for sale, the price will be adjusted accordingly as it gets repaired. I won't be keeping the car. I'm going back to the bugeyes that have treated me well over the last 10 years.
