Well, the time has come to put my baby up for sale. This is a very difficult post for me to write, as this was my first Subaru, and I always assumed that I'd drive her until the doors fell off. I purchased her on 2/17/14, and she's been the most reliable, trustworthy, and versatile vehicle that I've ever owned. Shortly after purchase, I noticed a coolant leak, and the radiator was quickly replaced. Other than that, the biggest repair was valve cover gaskets, which were also done in 2014. I really didn't know which direction to go with this car, as the Subaru community was a whole new thing to me. Honestly, I didn't have any real plans for the car, except to be a daily driver that could handle the Minnesota winters. After joining a couple forums, I saw what other Legacy/Outback owners had done to their cars, and I was "all in". As you can see, she is low. Actually 1.25" lower than stock Legacy GT height. For now, I currently have no plans to raise her back up to stock ride height. She also has OEM Crosstrek wheels with 225/55/17 General Altimax Arctic tires. This is the only setup that will come with the vehicle. I will also include a spray can of OEM BSM paint for touch ups, and a brand new OEM hood protector that I never got around to installing.

    Known Issues:

    1. The steering angle sensor needs to be replaced, so the traction control is currently disabled. Has been like this since the day I bought it, and has never caused any issues. Plus, its a Subaru bruh.....do you really need traction control?

    2. Every once in a while, the key will be finicky, and you have to jiggle it to the get it to turn in the ignition. Its a 14 year old car, and the teeth on the keys just aren't what they used to be. Any locksmith can cut a new key, relatively cheap. It's never left me stranded, and I've never felt the need to address it.

    3. Rear cup holders have been missing ever since I bought it.

    4. ***Not really an "issue", but I want to be as transparent as possible:
The daytime running lights are disabled. I got sick of rebuffing the headlights every spring. so last summer I had JM install new blacked out headlights, and new fog lights. While they were doing the work, I decided to have the DRL's disabled. Running constantly, they started to melt the headlight housings, and I didn't want them to ruin the new headlights I had just bought.

    Favorite thing about the car:

Silencer 2 way remote start with 1500' range. By far, the best $ I've ever spent on this car. The range on this remote is incredible, and starts every time!

    Pricing:

    KBB - $4100
    NADA - $4200

There is only 1 other 2005 Outback 3.0R wagon currently for sale that has close to the same specs as this. It's in Ohio, and has almost 20,000 more miles than this one. That vehicle has an asking price of $4300.

I realize that mods don't dictate what your car is worth, and I'm not looking to "cash in" on this car. I take great care of my cars, and it shows in this one. I want the next owner to be 100% satisfied with their purchase. They will be getting an amazing vehicle, that literally needs nothing! Taking all of this into consideration, I think $4000 is a fair asking price. I'm not in a hurry to sell, and if you want to tell me I'm insane for my asking price, by all means, feel free to let me know. I'm 40 years old, and work with sh!tty people all day....I can take the criticism.

Minimal Rust. Not bad for a 14yr old car.

Thanks. I've got somebody driving out from Eau Claire to look at it tonight. Kind of hoping they don't buy it, so I can have an excuse to keep it. Deep down, I know it needs to go, but it won't be easy.
