I swapped in an 07 headunit to my 05, so my 05 radio is for sale. $50.

Also up for grab is a harness for any aftermarket headunit. You'll need this harness if you don't want to splice your factory wires. All wires are labeled on harness. Price is free.

If anyone has factory side brackets for radio, please let me know. Didn't use factory bracket when I had the aftermarket headunit so now I lost them.

    Sorry for dirty car.

Question about your swap. did the 07 unit include an AUX input? I have some BS satellite radio in my 92x I would like to remove and replace the factory unit with an aftermarket or another subaru one. Looking for something that has a direct aux input so I do not lose any gain or signal. Didn't mean to threadjack.

the 05 has a 8pin port for the passengerseat subwoofer (if available) aside from the main 14pin harness. the 07 does not have that subwoofer port, instead it has a port for the aux harness from the aux jack. I had to splice my sub harness into my main harness to get my sub working.

If you want to use an aux jack for an 05 unit, you'll have to go with the method from jazzyengineering which is a hack by using a blank cd. otherwise, your only option is to go with an FM transmitter which deliveries static-ky music. Another option is to go for an older headunit with cassette player and get one of those cassettes with aux cable.

    Whatever you do, good luck!
