I have a 2005 EJ20 WRX engine with a rood knock. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that wants to buy this engine to rebuild. -180k miles. Comes with Turbo and intake.

    make me an offer

here is a thread that I created a while back http://mnsubaru.com/threads/knocking-at-2500-rpm.40199/#post-666924

since then I located a new engine and am about to swap them. It maybe seen 5 miles with the rod knock.

I don't really know what a fair price would be I just want it to go to some one that can rebuild and sell. lets say $1200

5miles is alot of miles if driving with a rod knock. It'll be hard to sell a motor with a messed up crank and pissibly scored cam journals for $1200. Possibly piston coming in contact with the valves also.

I don't really know what it would take to fix. since it never seized or lost power i don't thinks its that bad. If you have to split the bock anyway i don't think it would be that hard to fix. $800 reasonable?

A few dollars over scrap value might be reasonable. $800 is not reasonable. You might be better off parting it out and selling the non-internal stuff separately.
