Stupid self left car running. I just ran quick inside to grab my hat before heading on my way to school this morning. My car keys were in there, house and a key to my wife's honda pilot. Stupid me. Called the cops to report it.

It would be great to have extra eyes out for me. Cell is 6513032711
    Name is Ntxhuav (Soua)

Here is a picture of how it looks like.

It also has a sticker on the rear windshield reading "Ka Teng car enthusiasts". Was taken in Saint Paul around 7:25 this morning.

I know it was dumb of me to run in w the keys in the ignition. :(

Probably. I sort of don't want to assume my neighbors, but I do live in the ghetto. And some of my neighbors have friends and are very suspicious looking. I'm hoping that the cops will find the car and the person. If not, at least the car. Hoping it was just a joy ride too. Sigh....

I'd be changing the locks to the house right away, and you may want to have your wife's car re-keyed.

    Sucks to hear man.

We will keep our eyes out as well! We've had several cars broken in to in the last couple of years but none stolen.

Just in case anyone doesn't know. It is illegal to leave a car running in public property un-attended. (i've been ticketed for warming my car up while watching it from the front window of my house) But you can do it in your driveway or private property.

Sorry to hear of it. I'll keep an eye out for it. Things to keep in mind are that it is dropped and there's very few gold 06 XTs on the road.

I was not on Shepard yesterday.

    Thanks all.

I know it's illegal for having the car run not attended. This didn't even take a minute. The officer was kind enough to not write a ticket. I was just on my way out to school too. Lame. I ruined my own day.

Best of luck, had the same thing happen to me some years back to my wrx. Long story short, they recovered the car after it was involved in a high speed police chase, and they got away. Car was never the same after that, i ended up selling it back to the dealer.

Soua probably hasn't had time to update this thread yet, but we found his motor and hopefully have a lead on whoever stole this car. So far his motor looks to be just fine...here's hoping this helps find the thieves!

Well, it didn't end up in my garage, but my friend bought it off craigslist and brought it to me for an inspection, and when I heard the story of how it got sold I thought of Ntxhuavs Forester, so we check the block code against the VIN, and wallah, Ntxhuavs motor... sucks for my friend Jake who paid money for it, but sucks even more for Ntxhuav.

Just glad that we were able get it back to it's rightful owner.

    Follow up:

Been passed around like crazy from police officer to police officer and investigator to investigator. Nothing can be done about this person that took my car and sold my stuff. No proof, no conviction. Pretty much just a waste of our time.

If I continue to see this through, all the police will do is impound my swap that was sold, and that's that. Can't do anything to get the guy that sold it in any trouble. He say she say...nothing will come off this. Dude is being set free pretty much.

So, Yusef and his friend and I discussed this through.

Since I'm getting nothing out of this, I will be selling the motor that was mines. It is currently at Yusef's house for safe keeping because of some shady neighbors of mine.

We will be working this out some time, and just keep a heads up for my swap. A bill of sale will be included with the motor. More info to come.

Really sucks that the sppd won't do anything to help. It is what it is, I guess.
