This post is for all of you who have a 2006 WRX!

    1. What model do you have (TR, Standard, Limited or STI)?
    2. What do you like about it?
    3. What don't you like?
    4. How many miles do you get on a tank (in town VS HWY)?

It sure would be nice if Subaru would allow the moonroof as an option on all models! What's the deal? Even most of the elcheapo Ford and Chryslers get them standard

I believe the reason they didn't offer moon/sun roofs originally was for structural rigidity reasons. Not sure if they solved that or just sacrifice the ridigity in favor of the light from above.

Limited is currently the only model with a moonroof. Sacrafice it for the ROOF! It's not like we are rallying on our way to work!

Well, I think there's only a handful of us on here but...

    1) TR
    2) (good definitely outweighs the bad!)

    torque

    brakes

    steering response

    factory 17s

5-speed/gearing (for a daily driver at least)

    no frills

    potential...

    3) (most of these complaints are nit-picky and apply to most impreza sedans)

    dbw throttle response

paper speakers (not that I expected much more but the prospect of paying more $ for more paper speakers/harsh tweeters, along with finicky auto climate control, and what are imo equally marginal seats in the wrx, I went with the tr)

subaru paint job really is sub-par (lots of overspray, thin clear coat... nice colors available but horrible worksmanship)

    mushy stock springs

stupid splash guard that could have come from the factory with 3" shaved off under the oil filter or an access panel so I dont have to spill oil all over it (no way Im gonna take the thing off for an oil change... I just lay a rag under the filter on the splash guard).

    No fold down seats

Limited cargo space (twice now Ive had to use my girls RSX to haul stuff bc it wouldnt fit in the wrx... a frickin RSX!). Not a big deal. Funny to me tho:)

    4) (~5700 miles on the clock)
~19 mpg all city w/frequent boost and occasional wot
~26 mpg all highway w/occasional 3rd gear pull to break up the monotony

Also, personally I would not have bought the car if spoiler/moonroof were standard. I dont really need the headroom (only 5'10-5'11), but the extra weight, potential for rattles/leaks, and the prospect of what could happen in a roll-over turn me off to moonroofs.

do you mean orange peel? because NO new car should have overspray, nothing is on the car to get over-spray from when they are assembled.

    1)2006 STi
    2)everything exept:
    3) paint job not very good quality, boost gauge (blocks ouside temp. idicator), the big spoiler blocks the rear viev(but it looks cool from the outside :) )
4)about 250 miles in city and 320 miles on highway on a 15.9 gallon tank.

My bad, there is undercoating overspray (maybe that's dealer's fault...). also, some spots show signs of what looks like either overspray/ poor masking/ or quick and dirty factory paint job (underside of hood, inside fender wells, etc...). Point is, I think they could have at least sprayed one more color coat and 2 more clear coats :)

Also, completely ot, but does anyone else have a spongey foam like strip inside their fender well? When putting on mud flaps, I found one (looks like the foam they put under raw meat at the grocery store) in the front right fender well... weird thing is its molded in there like its factory and its only in that one fender well. I didnt see any harnesses/wires/etc that would necesitate extra moisture drainage from the area, but...

    1)2005 WRX STi

2)Power and style (every time I need to pass someone I just :))

    3) Have to agree with above: boost gauge location and size, the rear "wing" is a pain when trying to see out the rear.

4)About 21mpg HWY and about 18-20 mpg CITY.

    1. I've got a black 2006 wrx T.R.
    2. like what most people said new front end, brakes, engine, wheels, suspension etc.
    3. Stuff I don't like lets see, I wished the wipers speed wasn't so annoying its either too slow or too fast; the tires suck, factory front windshield tends to chip easily and yeah the paint isn't as good. I've got a lot of little scratches already.
    4. For MPG I get about 22 city and 25.555555555555 on the hwy so far

I love my rex love the low end tq!
