I like the wide-body kit, it makes it look more like a coupe in the back.

SWRT and pirrelli split. so it should all be BFG stuff from now on. Pirrelli wasnt keepin up there end of the bargain (tires werent cutting it). i am interested o see if the BFGs make a difference.

The widebody and decals make the new fron end look hot. it may be the only instance where its good looking.

That car is so hot looking, it sits so low and can still hi teh gravels/snows. ok, now which of you 06 guys is going to make a replica?

BTW: Chux: you should try calling BBS this year and pester them again abou the 4x140 forged wheels. i could see the brat or hatch rockin a set :)

meh, I'll be going 5-lug this summer. I'd be perfectly happy with these wheels, but I want bigger brakes and better suspension...

My guess is a shorter/freer flowing exhaust. The turbo is on that side of the car, I'd imagine you'd want the exhaust outlet to be the same.

Ever notice how many bends it takes to get to the other side?

That car is awesome. All the rally cars just look rediculously hot in the tarmac setup.

It always confused me why people get flamed for going for the slammed look in a wrx. People always say, "It's a rally car.... yada yad... it needs ground clearance" But then the same people see this and get all wet in the pants. Oh well.

I realize that you loose all the handling and what not, but looks alone, it looks awesome.

Anybody know where the limit for the wheel travel on a setup like this is? Does the travel basically bottom out just before the body hits the ground or do they stop it with a decent amount of clearance still available? I am just wondering where everything goes when the suspension is fully compressed. The tires are already slammed up into the wheel wells. The travel on this suspension setup has got to only be about 2inches, nuts.

    Love that thing...

    Scoop/Hood

Love that hood --- any way to delete my scoop and go with the triangular inlets near the front? That looks great.

true. but you have to keep in mind the amazing awesomeness of the supsension design on that car. IIRC it has modified suspension points (ie control arm locations) ect... which enable it to make use of such a low stance. on a OEM wrx slamming it will probably make the handling worse unless you do some crazy stuff to make use of the lower ride height.

also i think the secret to the car not bottoming out constanly lies in some fairly high spring rates. my guess is that it takes alot of uummphh to make that car squat.

there wouldnt be any difference in angles or length... if so maybe within 3 inches...

probably cause they dont have the trunk and spare tire well, so they can put it where they want too... I will check when I am in Australia if they are on that side...

the exhaust is on the same side as the turbo because without packaging considerations it can be shorter that way. The way it was explained to me was that the catalytic converters etc that come on teh stock car they need a bit more room so the exhaust exits on the other side of the car as the downpipe. Without needing that it could just go straight back from the DP all the way to the back right corner of the car.
