Keep in mind you have to be under 21 to do the teen course. If you are over then you need to that the "normal" class. It looks like fun. I'm still on the fence about signing up.
How much is membership? I'm on the fence about going as well but if membership isn't a killer, I'll seriously go
Is there anything planned for later in the winter for adults? My fiancee is scheduled to arrive on Jan 15th (finally, after waiting 9mo for her Visa!) and she has never even seen snow before... :eek3:
^Congrats and just take her out in your STi to an empty parking lot with lots of snow  She'll have fun.
It's $40 a year to join BMW CCA. If you plan on doing any summer events with them (say BIR) then the membership works for that as well.
I think it will be sheer terror for the first few times! Being an Engineer, as well, she has already tried to over-analyze what it will take to drive on the other side of the road and in the snow... :eek3:
Sorry for the delayed response, have been busy wrenching away. That is correct the annal membership is $40 and thats for the whole family, which includes all the training events scheduled, this is for liability purpose. As for later events, I am not sure, as they are still working on the 2007 schedule. We usually have two Winter Car Control events, but as the last few winter seasons have not been very supportive, they have made on in the middle of the winter. If your on the fence as you say than consider this. You will get alot of seat time as well as class time to review your training or interests for the day. The club does a great job of feeding the participants, believe me they dont go cheap. They provide breakfast and lunch, as well as beverages through out the event at no additional cost. The staff are some of the friendliest I have worked with, very knowledgable and interested in helping you improved. I will be at both events and will be looking forward to meeting and working with some of you! Cheech
As for other winter club events you can check out http://www.glacierlakesqclub.org/ they usually have a few Ice driving events.
Well I signed up for a BMW CCA membership today... hopefully I'll get my membership number before the spots fill for the class.
Since I live close by I might swing by and take a peek (and possible sign up next year) but since there is no snow on the ground are they using snow maker to make snow for this event?
