2007 WRX's & STi's Lower HP?

    Well, I was just browsing through the suby website and looked at their advertising for the '07s. What I noticed was a decrease in horsepower from the '06s. The '07 WRX is now 224 HP and the '07 STi is 293 HP as compared to the '06 WRX 230 HP and '06 STi 300 HP. Any idea why? Are the numbers wrong for the '06s? I mean, even the '02/'03s had 227 HP and now they drop to 224 HP? Just wondering if anyone has answers :)

    They changed the way that they are measuring them. Nothing else has changed.

    The industry is standardizing the measure of all vehicles performance..It is still the same, but a lot of cars are reading a little less than what they claim...

    I.E. RSX type S was at 210hp and now it is 201hp, but the same car...
