well, since we're going to be numbering our cars for the timed laps, let's make a list of what numbers we want. I'll start with the list from phi11's magnet thread. but since we're not all getting magnets from him, let's not clutter up his thread with it. so, it doesn't matter if you're having decals or magnets made, or if you're just printing it on a piece of paper and taping it in a side window, claim your number so we don't have duplicates. 00: discopope 001: tangledupinblu - 02 WRX, Blizzak LM-22 004: SweetBugI 3.141: sniper1rfa - 07 2.5i wagon, Blizzak WS-60 7: Se7enrex 10: StatGSR - Legacy Wagon, Revo1 11: phi11 14: ScandiaWRX - 93 Legacy, Winterforce 19: readymix 21: Justin 22T: piddster - 93 L, Perelli Winter Carving 23: RACEGIRL 29: Curly2k3 30: RichWRX 34: 02blubru - 02 wrx, Michilen pilot Alpine PA2 41: AspitFire 42: LegacyPGT - 05 Legacy GT, Hakka 4 43: carl 52: boomer 76: techy101 - Forester 80: esperunit 83: mayhem83 117: Dynapar - 95 Impreza LX, Nokian Hakka RSi 153: prezawagon - 00 Outback Sport, Revo1 173: Shibbs 232: Vorgto - winterforce 252: Back Road Runner 321: yosmiley 424: speedemon 555: bikerboy 725: Chux 772: bummpy 955: 95lwrx - 95 Impreza L, Blizzak 993cc: Ej22TIM - geo metro, walmart all-terrains 1337: AWDimprezaL - Impreza L, Potenza G009 B: EggRoll i: Deride
Thanks for starting this Chux. It would also be helpful to have the car description and tires that each car is running. 153: prezawagon, 2000 Outback Sport, Silver/Grey, Blizzak Revo1.
Please hold 14 in case I come up for the day. I'll be driving the '93 legacy turbo with winterforce tires.
I like pie in all its incarnations. It was a debate between Pi, sqrt(2), and sqrt(3) (1.414 and 1.732). e is cool too, but i'm an engineer, not a programmer. EDIT: In fact, gimme sqrt(2).
^keep in mind, these have to be somewhat easy to read on the car, and enter into the computer. let's go here, we've got 24 numbers in this thread, and 46 registered attendees for the event. it'd be nice if most of the names/numbers could already be entered into the computer before we start timing the event.
So far all the numbers chosen will work with the software for doing the timing but simpler is nice. Anyway, I think by wednesday I'll just go through the rest of the list and just assign numbers. We can print up some pages with numbers or get some shoe polish to put the numbers on the cars. sniper, I can change yours to 1.414 if you want, but I'd rather do the decimal than "sqrt(2)"
I think you missed a few digits Does 22T work for me? '93 "L" on Perelli Winter Carving. I like masking tape btw.
get yer digits outta the pie! yeah, 22T works, but you have to do it in negative space with the masking tape, meaning the whole car covered in tape except for the 22T on the side.:laugh:,, j/k...
That might work with my current color sceme. Hmmm. Maybe I should get a few more rolls of tape?
Nice tires, it'll be interesting to see how they do, they're supposed to be even better on ice than the Revo1s.
