I purchased this car around 3 months ago and decided that it's just a little too much for me and my family. It's really, REALLY fast and I think is the most powerful WRX in the country running a CXR 500 turbo. Here's what you get: 2009 Subaru WRX Premium Sedan WITH NAVIGATION AND HEATED SEATS AND SUNROOF with 59K on the body and 20K on a motor built by Cobb tuning in Plano Texas. I do have all the receipts for work done. Motor was just compression tested with 140 psi across the board and leakdown was well within specs. Has Mahle Pistons, STI crank and bearings AMR CXR 500 turbo Perrin front mount intercooler Perrin equal length headers Perrin Turbo back exhaust - I did add 2 vibrant resonators to quiet her down some Tuned by Cobb in Plano texas - here's the link to the dyno - http://www.cobbtuning.com/Dyno-Database-s/70119.htm ACT HD clutch 20K miles ago ACT streetlite flywheel Short shifter Grimmspeed uppipe and turbo blanket Tial MV series 44mm external wastegate Turbosmart recirculating bypass valve Perrin short ram intake Grimmspeed master cylinder bracket BRAND NEW (I mean, never actually mounted as of this writing) Continental Extreme Contact DW tires 2000 miles on the General Arcticmax snow tires You'll hear a lot about the GR series WRX having trouble with the firewall attachment to the clutch pedal breaking and this car was no exception. I did have this issue professionally repaired around 500 miles ago. Sound deadener recently added throughout- nice and civilized on the inside of this car. Cost me $1000 to do this. My price is firm. I'll let selected people test drive the car as I see fit. It's very fast and very fun. Just a bit too "raw" for myself and my 3 kids.
Sorry thats not even close to the most powerful subaru in the country, hell I bet thats not even the most powerful subaru in maple grove, or minnetonka, or apple valley.....Nice try, we aren't idiots.
Lulz. In his defense he did say, "most powerful WRX in the country running a CXR 500 turbo." I haven't heard/read much about CXR500 but I am interested to see pics of this beast. GL seller
Alright folks. Let's give the OP a chance to make some clarifications first. OP, you need to list a price. I'm guessing you missed it on a copy/paste from another listing. Pics will also help tremendously. Hell, we don't even know the color. Also, you might want to recheck the link you posted. glws
Wow, guys! Give a noob a break. Thanks for jumping all over me on this one. Yes, it's "awhp," I'm a prior BMW guy and was used the rwhp thing. I did not claim the most powerful WRX in the country. That would be really stupid. The video of the car and its dyno is actually on the AMR website where they list the turbo for sale: http://store.automasteramr.com/AMR-CXR500-Bolt-on-Turbocharger_p_41.html This is my car here. WRB. Yes I need some pics but it was 12:30am and I just wanted to get the car up here for sale. Price is $22K. I copied from my craigslist ad and forgot to copy the last line. I've met a bunch of you at autocrosses where I've run my turbo M3 and miata, and I know that you're all really cool, and I've met Nuke - who actually went over the tune for me - and is also really cool, so I'm just gonna assume that you were all just ragging on me a bit here and I can take it. Please go easy on me from here on out. Thanks.
Hi Bob! Nice looking car. The M3 was sweet, this is even sweeter. Maybe I have a Silver Boxster to trade. Remember? What's next?
I've recently become interested in Subarus, and don't know much about them yet. I'm interested in this car, but very leery of buying another turbo car that's been modified. I previously had a 100k-mile B5 S4, and during the year I owned it I spent more time laying underneath it than driving it. I sold it because it seemed like a time bomb. Can anyone offer any general advice about a car that's built and tuned like this, mostly concerning longer term reliability? If I'm looking for a DD that I can mostly just drive, would it be smarter to find a stock STI? Thanks in advance, I realize it's a vague question that probably depends on a lot of things you have no way of knowing. I'm not doubting the seller's honesty in any way.
Well maybe its best to make a thread about this somewhere else and not going off on a tangent on someones for sale thread. Make the thread people will answer. Glws seller, very nice car, I'm just a cheap ass
Looks like a great car GLWS. I have read some reviews on that turbo and seems to be a pretty nice turbo.
Hey sub_noob - I'm going to deliberately not answer your question because I am obviously biased. Notwithstanding the thorough beat down I got at the start of this thread (due in no small part to my own ridiculousness), the people on this forum are mainly nice, knowledgable, honest folk who would be able to answer you in a non-baised way. Nuke has actually driven this car and looked at the tune so you could ask him.
No hard feelings, I'll ask the question elsewhere. Good luck, I'm sure it's a sweet ride. Maybe I'll have to check it out when I get chance.
