Bought a 2010 LGT limited last week to replace my totaled 05 LGT. It got picked up today (from FL - see pic) and should be delivered early next week. 27K miles and un-modded 'cept for grilles and an unplugged center brake light. Previous owner was a legacygt.com member and I read his entire post history before buying.... Modding will commence as soon as my garage floor is above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Slapping winters on it ASAP. Kinda pissed I have to deal with TPMS now (just noticed this right now, but it has to be intentional that PMS is found within TPMS, right?). 05 LGT mod (sways, dp, up, etc.) sale will commence soon.
The way I figure things, as along as I don't destroy a piston, a transmission, and 4 clutches, I'm ahead.
I think it was more than 4 clutches, but who's counting?? Ha anyway, welcome to another 5th gen leggy owner! The 5th gen leggy limited was the first Subaru that I've driven that doesn't feel like a spartan war axe. The 5th gen is considerably larger than the 4th gen, but it is a very nice car. Don't let the mod bug bite too hard. Oh, and heroin for sure.
Yes, yes, yes, but the key is word in your warning is "too." Already bought a RSB, front and rear links, RSB reinforcement brackets, & DP. Only real decision left is what springs to buy..... And then, I'm going to stop. (until the struts go, and until the aftermarket comes up with decent STS options, and until I can't bear the look of the stock exhaust, and until I just really have to have a new TMIC, and until....) Noted.
I also voted heroin, because the Dark Tower series is still fresh in my head. And heroin is a hilarious way to describe what happened when someone thought they had a great idea for modding a car.
congrats!! looks like a nice ride hope too see it rolling around the mean streets of uptown...and I also voted heroin because of the lack of bacon option. dibs on down pipe possibly (depends on if I have any money after fixing the damn thing).
