I'm pleased to announce that competitor registration is now open for the 2010 Ojibwe Forest Rally Weekend. You'll find the the two single-day, regional, Coefficient 3, events listed as Paul Bunyan's Ride and Headwaters at http://rally-america.com. Early entry is $350* per event, and will be available until 8/4 5PM. After that, the entry fees increase to $450* per event.

Stage Notes will be available, with one caveat. In order for us to offer Stage Notes at an affordable price, we must have 20 PAID entries, that have purchased Stage Notes, by the early entry cutoff of 8/4. Stage Notes cost $165 for both events, total. Sorry, there is no single event fee for Notes.

EDIT: There is no refund for Stage Notes, if we move forward with generating them. However, if we do not meet the minimum number of entries for Notes, and you did purchase them, you will be refunded.

*Entry fees reflect cash/check payment. There is a surcharge if you choose pay by credit card. Credit card entry fees are $361 before 8/4 and $464 after 8/4.

As always, we can't put on this event without the help of our amazing workers. That being said, worker registration is also open. Please visit http://www.rallymasterpro.com/workers/ and sign up to help with the event. Never worked a rally? That's okay. We'll tell you what you need to know.

The Ojibwe Forest Rally Weekend will, once again, be headquartered out of Bemidji, MN. Keep an eye on http://www.ojibweforestrally.com/ for more details, to be posted soon!

    Cheers,
    Breon Nagy

thanks breon!! As many of you know, Ojibwe is in a transitional year this year having been made regional only. We're looking to put on a really great event regardless. Please sign-up to volunteer as marshaling will be the best way to see the stages this year.

GET THE WORD OUT! Look forward to seeing you in the woods!

    yay!

A manager for one of the subie dealerships down here told me Ojibwe wasn't going to happen this year. Glad to see he was misinformed!

+1 course marshal, pending wifely approval. ;)

we're very excited to be able to race a 2 day rally that's close to home. After towing out to Atlanta, MI; Salem, MO; and Wellsboro, PA this year it will be nice to have a short drive!

Yes! Can't wait! I've been planning on taking half a week of vacation for this since I marshalled for the first time last year! Marshalling is definitely the best way to see it. You're not fighting crowds and you can chill in the woods with your buds while you wait for the rally cars to come around. Plus, you actually drive on the stages themselves to get to your marshal point.

I'm toying with the idea of working time controls and start or finish this time around.

Mark Larson and I checked out the roads today and I'm happy to report that they are in FANTASTIC condition. Let's hope that the DNR or Mother Nature don't muck them up in the next month and a half.

We're using a wide range of road types from scary fast to tight and technical. It's a pretty good mix. Plus, we're using one of my all-time favorite roads ;)

    Bannering!

For anyone looking ahead at taking time off to volunteer, if you have the time and want to help banner, I will be headed into the woods on Thursday, August 19th to banner and would really appreciate help. With enough help, we can have a leisurely day driving stages, hanging banner and get to sleep in on Friday/Saturday. Will be leaving Lincoln Gas and Bait in Cushing mid morning, I will pick a time as we get closer but I'm thinking 10 a.m. ish.

Thanks in advance for coming out to help.

What kind of maps and GPS coordinates are you looking for? We need to keep some of that info hush hush and out of the competitors' hands ;)

just the spectator maps for this year if they had gps coordinates that would be awesome, if you havent made up the maps yet one suggestion is dont do them like last year where the text boxes were covering parts of the map.

Wish I could make it this year, but isn't going to happen. Hopefully can make it back up in 2011. Has been too long since I was there.

just an fyi for those who aren't as keen on camping. Camping is fun, we did a whole week for STPR. We'll be at rally hq though for convenience and because we're on the organizer committee. We hope to see many of you out there volunteering!

So you guys are camping it this year? Which campground? I'd be down for doing that instead this year to save on costs and it would be fun!

Looks like Jim and I will be running as long as the truck is ready to go. With help from a few of the ZRT boys we should be good to go.
