Hello! I've been reading ClubWRXForums, NASIOC, etc. But, I wanted to get your feedback what made you decide to buy the 2011 Impreza WRX. Thanks!
compared to what? you know you want a car when you see it and drive it. its all in personal preferance.
wrx it was more of a general question for those who decided to buy the 2011 wrx. what cars did they chose from and why they finally decided to go for the wrx.
well if i got one it would be cuz they look more aggressive then the 08-10s and cuz we all love subies?
the 2011s haven't been out long, so I don't know how many people can really chime in, but I'll give you my take. I was seriously looking at the 2010 WRXs which are very similar to the 2011s besides the flares until subaru came out with the cheaper SE STIs. It's tough to beat the WRX at its price point new IMO. Are you thinking about used cars as well? because there are a lot of excellent options around $25,000. I ended up with an STI, but I considered the WRX, VW GTI R32 (used), MS3, volvo s60r (used), audi s4 (used), and bmw 335xi (used) before subaru came out with the discounted SE STIs which I ended up going with. I'm not a mustang guy, but it would be tough to ignore the new mustang if you're after performance and don't care about AWD or utility. Used EVOs scare me, but I don't know a whole lot about them other than a little seat time so that's on me. You would be able to find a GD STI in excellent condition for around the price of a new WRX which might be something to think about if you'd rather have a sedan. me? I love the hatch, but I'm probably in the minority. I think a lot of people end up with WRXs compared to other brands/cars because it's an all around good car. it may not have the best interior, but it's functional. it may not have the absolute best performance, but it's pretty damn good. subaru looks have always been polarizing, it's just preference. AWD is a big plus in this climate and subaru has an excellent system, not all AWD is the same. reliability is there for the most part, and safety has been a subaru strength. If you decide to mod, there's a huge wealth of knowledge and parts available. just my .02
