The rear end looks sick as hell, but im not too sure about the rest of the car. I'm sure it will grow on my like the hatch style did.
the wing looks like something that would have been awesome in superstreet about 10 years ago. otherwise I'm digging it
Lose the wing and add a small trunk lip and I could almost see myself buying one...even at 53 years old. Is deleting the wing an option, or would I have to go to a WRX?
looks good although i'd never waste the money on a new sti over a new wrx....with the extra $10,000 I could buy a good set of brakes/coilovers/and engine mods to perform alot better than a sti.
Wing is standard on the 2011 STI Sedan and is not an option to delete from what a Subaru dealer told me.
Saw the new models at White Bear last week and I must say +1 on getting the WRX saving some moneys. The back end definately looks a bit aftermarketish but I could deal with it. The exhaust sits too deep in the bumper though.
not bad. I've always been a hatch/wagon guy, but that works. please tell me there's some un-seen int4rw3bz sarcasm there....
BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: Oh wait... that's really what it looks like huh? uke: It's a little too... "1996" for me. zomg they got rid of the hoodscoop too! Must be for aerodynamics and JDMness.
My girl and I just picked this up last night. All i got to say is wow! Pictures do not do this car justice. Subaru did a great job on this car. Coming from a guy who is on his 4th STI and 5th Subaru this is best year yet.
Post multiple angle pics...or it didn't happen. IMO first sight impression of a car really speaks alot. Whether through pictures or the naked eye. In this case there is alot of second opnion about the looks.
They really need to do something with it next year (performance wise) $10K more than a wrx for this? You are nuts subaru.
What they said. For the 38-40k it'll take to get into one of these I'd rather get a used CTS-V or a Ford Raptor. Even the used RS4s are starting to get down around this price.
Car is in our garage....pics to follow soon. Just out of curiousity, why so many haters when you all are on a Subaru forum? Do you really hate on the cars that you went out of your way to join a ****ing website group? I'm a little confused fellas.....from the lady who bought the car!
That's a mean front end. I'm not sure about the back, but I'll wait to see one in person. I'm sure it's fine.
just spotted this one i think. it pulled into the tile shop by the holiday station on carlson parkway
Just because I like Subarus, doesn't mean I have to like every particular iteration of every car they make. Criticism =/= hate.
Congratulations on your new car. I'm not sure where you're getting the "haters" comment from. I'm on my 6th Subaru. Just because I'd spend 40k on something else doesn't automatically make me a hater. I haven't liked the sedan bodies on the 08+ Subarus, and I just don't see dropping that kind of money on a car that barely outperforms it's lesser version yet costs 10-15k more. I think the hatch is pretty sweet though. I think Subaru needs to do a lot more to set the STI apart from the WRX if they're going to keep charging that kind of money. There are some very serious machines out there in that same price category.
Is that color the plasma burple or DGM? Hard to say from the pics... Is it spoken for or will it be around for awhile?
i think the front looks great buuuuuuuut the back look like something a Mexican person would put on there civic.
