I picked up these wheels last fall from Psychorunner and he had asked to see what they looked like on the car... I figured someone else might want to see them as well, in case they were considering new wheels.

Looks nice. I was thinking about picking them up too when he had them for sale.

Thanks - I actually really like the OEM wheels and in hindsight, probably would have just went that route. But... the Enkei's are about 5 or 6 pounds ligher, have a bit more offset and are 8" wide. Now I have to find some center caps for them.

Are those smaller than stock? Look really tight!

Those are actually the stock Dunlop (I think) tires that the car came with. I put Blizzak's on the stock rims to run through the winter and decided to go with the Enkei's for the summer. I was nice to not be pushing the snow tires any more. Hopefully it doesn't snow too badly again this year.

Nice car and nice wheels! What made you go with the hatch and not the sedan? Just curious since I know a lot of people didn't like the hatch in the 08-10'

I honestly can't tell you other than it was purely a "gut feel" sort of thing. Oddly enough I didn't necessarily care for the hatch when it first was introduced... but now.. when I think of WRX... I think of the hatch, and I think they both are a seriously kickass platform. In hindsight I find everything about the hatch to be awesome except for one thing... the drone if you have non-stock exhaust. I had the SPT on there and I could not handle the noise, which was quite disappointing. I like how much room you get, the extra roofline, etc... Until you brought it up, I had actually forgotten that I wasn't a fun before ;-)

Maybe I watched too many Gymkhana movies.. or the Dave Mirra videos? ;-)

I dont get a drone from my SPT at all. I would actually prefer something a bit louder. To each their own.
