We're very excited to announce the 2012 Rally Cross Series and new support staff. I will remain on as Rally Cross Chairman for the 2012 season. However, we're adding the adminstrative support of two very well respected Rally Cross members. Josh Jutting and Tim Anderson. ^^^WE race our cars around a dirt track and you could too! Spectating is free. Participating costs $45.00 + a $15 SCCA weekend membership fee if you're not an SCCA member. It's like autocross, just in the dirt!
Yup. April event is possible for me but not probable. May is very likely. July will depend on the outcome of NT2 (which in turn depends on the outcome of NT1)
To anyone hearing about RallyCross for the first time, while the picture I posted above is of a full stage rally car, which would run in M2 (Modified 2WD), there are classes for stock and lightly modfied street vehicles as well, AWD, FWD or RWD. I've competed in a bugeye WRX wagon, a stock Sentra (which became less and less stock every event until it was basically a shell with a seat), an Infiniti G20, a Plymouth Sundance Duster, and even a Geo Metro. And it was fun as hell in all of them.
What time do the events start and how do we sign up... Maybe edit the first post... added events to our calander... enjoy the dirt thats where subies are most at home
Usually start around 10-10:30 and go until around 4. There's usually a new thread for each event that Dave or the event master posts, which they need to do soon or there will only be 10 people coming out.

I'd like to come and watch again, but instead I've got a family gathering to host. I think its well worth repeating - for those who are new to rallycross, come see and hear it for yourself. Spectating is free and this venue has great spots for viewing all the action!!!!
And ride-alongs are free as well! All you need is a willing driver, which there almost always is, and a helmet, which they have to lend out, and sign the waiver form.

Or contact a competitor. Many of us will let someone codrive for free or cheap. I learned not to let others drive the Swift though. It likes to pretend its a motorcycle.
