    Hey all,

Picked up an iPhone 6, which of course has iOS 8 preinstalled. Paired it with the factory navigation unit successfully, but none of the functions work properly. I'm unable to initiate a call, take a call, sync contacts, etc... It's basically broken.

Has anyone else experienced this with their new phones or OS's? Are yours working just fine after upgrading? I found one other post on another forum relating to iOS 8 in an Outback, but it doesn't have any responses yet.

Would you guys recommend contacting SOA, Apple, or both?

    Thanks!

Apple products work seamlessly and are perfectly easy to use out of the box. You're just not holding it right.

when i got my '12 my iphone (4 at that time) would not connect with the car, my wife's (also 4) would. if you could see if someone eleses 6 connects i would just take your phone back to apple and ask for a replacement -- that's what i did and haven't had any issues since.

I'll try out the wife's phone tonight. Since others are now reporting this as well, I'm assuming it's more than a hardware issue. Worth a try though!

It sounds like a bluetooth issue. I am running my iphone 5 with iOS 8 on a pioneer head unit with no issues.

I think the key is that you're using a Pioneer head unit. This is already making me want to go after-market. Anyone else have a stock unit working with iOS 8, or even better, an iPhone 6?

My iPhone 6 is working fine on the stock head unit in my 2010 LGT.

probably just a bug that needs to get patched. whenever apple finds it or people complain enough.

Interestingly enough, after restoring my phone back to new, it connects properly again. It's kind of weird since I set it up as new when I got it over the weekend. So, ultimately just a pain in the ass, but it all works again.

    Thanks all!
