Saw this on Jalopnik this morning. http://jalopnik.com/2015-subaru-imp...ource=jalopnik_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow The new 2015 Subaru WRX STI is here, and it looks like it's business as usual. Four doors, a giant wing, golden wheels, rally blue paint with a bit of pink, around 300 horses from a boxer engine and a manual gearbox. Hooray! The engine in question is supposed to be a 2.5-liter instead of a 2.0, but we will only know for sure after its debut on the 14th at the Detroit Auto Show. For the time being, just enjoy that wide stance and imagine the hoonage:
I like it. Does look similar to an Evo from the side, but the later model Evos are beautiful in my opinion.
It could just be the pictures, but it looks like it has slightly higher ride height which I think it needs. You can tell they definitely adjusted the angles in which they took pictures and the difference in perspective makes it look sharper. From everyone I have heard who has seen it in person, it supposedly looks better than the photos (wrx).
2015 WRX: Everyone hates it. 2015 WRX STI: Looks basically the same with a bigger wing, everyone loves it. Yup, sounds about right.
The front end still reminds me of a Corolla with a hood scoop and wing sadly. But i will be interested to see how the car will look in person.
Lololol why has the opinion on this car changed so drastically with the addition of a massive wing (which everyone is bagging on in that jalopnik article, btw). "Oh it looks much nicer than the wrx! Now to get rid of that ugly wing..." All of my wats
Hatch snatch. I would only buy the hatch version if it had a bigger wing. That is what really counts anyway.
New STi owners will be in for a rude surprise when they need to register their vehicle as an aircraft
Dear Subaru, Go back to making good looking cars and stop trying to look like everything else on the road. That is all!
Readymix said it best, everyone is bagging on it now, but in two years everyone will have this thing's dick all the way down their throats and it will be the best thing evar. I'll just wait and watch.
I'd have to agree that the bodywork looks exactly like the WRX (with the addition of the wing). Better lighting on the STI photo shows off the rear diffuser a lot more. Not a fan of either set of wheels, but overall I like how both of them look.
Thanks (although you forgot the "Yo!"). I thought maybe a rear foglamp, but I don't know where else that comes into play other than Europe.
