Rumors say no hatch/5dr for 2015 WRX. Seriously?

5dr is why I bought my 2002 WRX. It needed valves at 75k (stock) so I traded it in. (still a little bitter about that actually.)

5dr is why I bought my 2009 WRX. I sold it to pay off some debt, plus I hated, hated, HATED the 1985 cheap interior and HVAC. I thought about an STI but wanted the moonroof.

Currently I have a 2012 Focus SE hatch "sport" (disc brakes rear and the stiffer susp.) and this car is really nice. I would like to have a quicker car again and have thought about a Focus ST.

BUT. FWD=FTL? I really do miss awd.

Without a really really long rant I'm just going to say no. Your only going to be disappointed by the focus when seeing what other markets do with the same car that you either can't get your hands on or will pay insane amounts to get.

Was hoping for a newer motor. I was looking seriously at FXT's for a while but ringlands blah blah besides I want a new car. That peak tq in the Focus ST (and the new WRX I'm sure) at 2k is nice. Just sayin.

It's manual and your not towing, why do you want peak torque at 2k? I'm rev happy.

So, buy a 2012 one? no one says you have to buy the newest car.
when the 2015 comes out, buy a 2014, and enjoy your hatch.

    1. Ah, yes, you were probably talking about a new LGT. That sounds like a really good idea actually. Will have to see what they have for 2014-2015.
    2. My 2002 and 2009 WRX were stock, so having the "torque feel" at 4k is what I was used to. On the FST test drive I liked the quicker response.
    3. 2012 WRX I think has the same interior as my 2009 which I didn't care for. Again, the 2.5 motor unless built doesn't seem that great?

If cheap interiors are that big of a turn off you should consider another brand. It's a Corolla with a turbo. What's your budget anyway? Built for what, stock turbo?

Remember I'm driving a 2012 Focus SE hatch which is a "cheap" car, but the seats, controls, everything interior is 10x better than my 2009 WRX premium. Not to mention the factory stereo is awesome, it's not even the upgraded one, but it sounds better than the factory Subaru did by far. Then again Subaru probably added USB and a few things since 2009 in the WRX Premium.

I'm saying a cheap car can have a decent interior and features. Does the new WRX auto HVAC still keep a minimum 60 degrees inside your car when it's 35 below outside and you have a full coat on? That made me so angry.

I didn't keep my 2.5 long enough to see what happens, but yeah even on a stock turbo I don't trust it. Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe jaded about the 2.0 failure.

Would like turbo, AWD, hatch, 34k max?

Since you don't trust the motors and hate the interiors Subaru is out. New, AWD, Turbo and hatch?
    Audi A3 (will catch fire)
VW Golf R (Taras is driving one)
Porsche Panamera Turbo S <- My choice
    any others?

    RS6 Avant FTW

It's a little unfair to bash Subaru for "cheap interior" and lacking stereo systems. They don't market the Impreza as a Carnegie Hall stereo equipped luxo-yacht. They market it as fun-driving econo-box with AWD.

Yeah and they created the impreza platform to be module to be able to take there components out and add what you please. It was designed for the needs of aftermarket support. The reason why they could create such a cheaper car that boosts the performance that it does
