I thought Bo Jackson had the most rushing yds. didn't he have 320+ yds. in a playoff game?

jamal lewis (baltimore) against the browns had the record with 295 yds on 30 carries. Jackson turned in a 221-yard rushing performance on Monday Night Football in 1987 against the Seattle Seahawks. Jackson's 221 yards on November 30, 1987, just 29 days after his first NFL carry, is still a Monday Night Football record. (Bo Knows Baseball) Jackson batted only once left handed, hitting a 450+ foot home run in batting practice from a borrowed bat.

Yup, and before that Cory Dillon had the record from when he was back with the lowly Bengals.

ok...cool...So no one ever rushed for 300 yds yet??? I can see Peterson actually do it against a below avg. team...If he does it against a "Run defensive team" it will be tough to even get 100 yds.

Well if things go like the past, the Vikes will trade him away within the next two seasons. :p

Or they'll crutch on him too much and he'll result in a career-ending injury. Hooray for star players on shisty teams!

and that is why barry sanders retired...during his prime...the lions wouldn't trade him so I'll just sit at home with the family and call it a career..hahaha

If he kept going, for sure he would have broken every RB record, he probably had at least 6+ yrs left in him

Yeah, it's amazing the number Sanders put up when you take into consideration how ****ty the Lions were during his time in the league.

Adrian Peterson is too good a player to be on a sucky team like the Vikings. He could be a great player on a good team. Vikings lack the commitment to winning football. I'm also not a fan of the coach either. Without Peterson, the Vikes would be a 1-7 team for the reals...

looking at the success of chester taylor running the ball i'd be surprised if there is a better place in the league for AP to rack up the yards.

Look at Maroney's numbers... It takes being on a mediocre team to get the opportunity AP has been afforded thus far this year.

We also have one of the best, if not the best, offensive lines in the league.

The above comments about Sanders can also be refuted with my comments
