3rd annual MNSUBARU Dyno Day @ RS Motors 10/8/11

Here it is again, summer is moving along quickly and it's time to think about fall. Ron and the fine folks at RS have agreed once again to host this event for us(thanks guys).

* Saturday 10/8/11 starting 10:30 am.

* $50 bucks! CASH ONLY-no time/staff for receipts/card transactions

* No tuning or parts swapping or installing, please don't ask.. this is for dyno pulls only.*

Remember spectating is free and encouraged. There is a whole lot of room around the building and I'd love to see us fill the place up.

I'm also looking for suggestions and ideas from anyone who will give me the time for their thoughts(I'd really appreciate it). I've got a few ideas running through my head right now.
*Food-pizzawill be provided
*prizes/games-There will be a variety of prizes provided by vendors, members and mnsubaru.
*mnsubaru swag- I'll do my best to make sure any and every bit of merchadise Russ has laying around his house will be available for purchase.

Pretty please chime in with any thoughts, it'll help a ton.

Depending on my work schedule, I will be there again. No pull this year, nothing as changed in the power department.

They're most definately allowed if that's what it takes to get you down there. And bring those co-workers of yours, I haven't seen them around much lately.

 

Thinking I might come to spectate, I might be disappointed to see what my car dynos at. =\

 

Just think of it as motivation to get some more power mods done for the 4th annual dyno day next year.

No real updates on the event but just wanted to give it a quick bump to stir up some more interest. Lemme know if it works.

 

Makes me think if i want to dyno after the new turbo or wait and see what she's got now. Then install the turbo in the spring with other things i plane on gather over the winter.

 

Sounds like this is a perfect time to get baseline numbers. It'll be nice to see the actual improvement in the new parts.

I might be in depending on what day. I need to dyno my car since nuke cant seem to log it ;-)

Any idea if it will be an issue if I do not have a solid front hard point for tie down?

I hope everyone hasn't forgotten about this. I'm hoping to have a few details and updates in the next couple days but thought I'd start get a list(2nd post in this thread) of those who plan to get on the dyno. I understand things come up and everyone may not make it but I need the(I have good intentions to show up and dyno) list to figure out some final planning/costs etc....I'd still also like to hear from anyone who plans on coming down and hanging out. I'm working on a few raffle prizes for spectators too.

One more thing Volunteers many of you have skills with a camera whether still or video, It'd be sweet to have someone take the role of official "picture taker person" I'm sure there will be plenty of cameras but looking for someone who's willing to make the rounds and get as much coverage as you can and share it with us later.

I'm not sure what other specific volunteer jobs there may be but if anyone wants to pitch in please lemme know.

Any??????? feel free to ask comments too, I LOVE feedback.

Sweet, glad to have you guys back again this year.

 

Here's the Deal, We NEED some commitment from people who are interested in participating in this event. The guys at RS will open on a weekend just for us(and they aren't volunteers they are a business) We can't do this without your help. Whether you are new and feeling a bit shy or an old timer that just thinks the times aren't what they used to be. We already have some great prizes lined up for those getting on the dyno including a couple giftcards worth as much as $50 from one of our vendors(more to come on raffle prizes) I'll ask kindly once again Who's in?

 

if i can get a slot at like 1pm i could do it as i work on weekends at 6pm then ill put my car on the dyno again since i didnt last year.

Thanks everyone jumping on board, Let's show the folks @ RS we are worth the trouble of working extra hours. We should have any "in stock" mnsubaru stickers, shirts, lanyards etc.....available for purchase at the event as well.

 

We need more people signing up. Import image said they'll be sending a few things including (2) $50 gift certificates, Meguiers car care products is also proccessing our request for grab bags. mnsubaru will also have a few giveaways. We're working on more goodies too! What more could you ask for?
Food? Sure let's make this a pizza party too. If you get that list of cars going on the dyno to grow for me, I'll make sure there is food for all.
