So....yea. the rear diff in my XT6 seized last night. Still not sure what caused that, but I could feel the LSD binding, so I suspect that was the culprit. Anyway, need to get the car up and running ASAP. I have an impreza 4.111 diff, but it uses male splines on the axles that slip into the diff. no good with my XT6 axles. So I'm looking for one with the bolt-in male stubs sticking out of the diff. OR, a diff with bolt-in bearing retainers (5 bolts around the stub, this impreza one has thread-in retainers, and I'd need some sort of pin socket to get them out to swap the carrier). I know these came in first gen legacies for sure. not sure what else. I have Sunday off...and could probably come down in the girlfriend's car to pick something up.
