A couple weeks ago me and Sheem were coming out of a BestBuy in Rosedale and right before we were about to get into the car this dude pulls up in his "boosted" Sentra. The first question he is asked was: "whatcha got in there?". I casually told him i got catback and nothing else:hsugh:. After that he continued to tell us that he has a "TURBOZ" KIT and "CAMZZ" on his 02is Sentra with a giant fart can. So why am i posting this her? Cause the guy told me they have a website(forum) that is called something like 4-door-racing or something. So i waned to look for it but did not find anything. And it kinda surprised me when he said that he rips Stage 2 STI's apart.:laugh: So yeah, if you know anything about post it up!
sentra.. i cant see a sentra beat a stage 2 sti... a spec-v stock got murdered by my friends stock celica gt...
yup. with "boost inside" sticker on the front bumper. Driver said it was stock bottom end, cams, ~8psi on a T4 turbo, and makes 250whp. Seemed either hesitant to talk about it or not knowledgable about the car. Do you have more details? Looked like a fun project. Those things are around 2700 lbs stock and 160-170 hp in se-r trim iirc.
but thats 40hp compared to 100hp.. you gotta have a pretty built engine to get that much hp with low psi.
But then again.. he just has cams. Only cams! I dont think the sentra has forged internals.. By the way I saw him driving, I don't think his engine will hold up much longer. And if he was hesitant about what he was running.. I wouldn't belive him.
awd has twice the drivetrain loss, i am easily over 100 extra hp, and my car has 200K miles my car stock 135 crank hp 9psi 178 wheel hp
its really not hard to make significant power gains on 9-12psi of boost, you are effectively adding significant amounts of air into your charge
yeah its really not that hard to believe. Sounded like he just slapped on a pre-fab kit so he probably isn't totally informed. I'm sure one could really make 250whp at 8ish psi on an se-r and at 2700 lbs, I could see it easily taking a stg2 STi in a straight line... I'm just skepticle about this particular car.
thats my buddy matt...that sentra is sick and hes only runnin 4 or 5 lbs of boost right now...i dont think he can tear apart stage 2 sti's...and the website is team4door.com
thanks for the link... its been bugging me for a while! I think it's a pretty fun little project too, and was curious to know more about it. Driver said "I beat an STi the other day." Me: "oh yeah? Stage 2?" driver: "yeah." Me: "wow, how much power are you making?" driver: "250hp"
i've seen like 2 tc'd sentras, but haven't seen them drive it full boost, i wouldn't doubt it if it made some decent numbers and fly on the highway, kinda reminds me of boosted hondas
yeah my buddies a good guy and his car is fast.......there whole club is pretty sweet actually a couple STI's in there i do believe
hey this is matt i drive the said "boosted" spec. its not a pre fab kit, my buddy and i custom built it. i am usually very reluctant to talk about my performance upgrades but because they seemed like pretty cool guys and the werent driving a riced out honda i figured i could be honest. its running 5 lbs of boost. tune is scheduled for next week. you are all more than welcome to show up to our team four door weekly meets at buffalo wild wings in roseville to talk more or i usually sit at the wendys off of dale and university on saturdays from 7:30 to 8. just to clarify i never said it was a stage two sti, kinda hard to tell when you are on the freeway. ringo my buddy did pull on me but remember awd on snow is a bit better than ff
