Heh, I certainly hope this isn't a "typical" trail for out there.

From what I've read, the original creater of the 8-mile trail didn't name it the "8-miles of hell" because he thought it would scare even more people away. lol!

typical- yeah there's ton of those trails for extreme mountain biking and dirt bikes. My buddies recently built a trail just like your video, except it's 4 miles of downhill. They named it the Supernatural...because anyone that actually rides the whole trail must have supernatural powers. Even on a freeride bike I was pissin my pants....mostly because of the vertical drops and steep rock slab landings.

Trails like this really get me going, but it's hard to explain trails like this to your average Minnesotian, they can't comprehend extreme backcountry trails like this actually exsist and that a person would attempt to ride them. :yumyum:

Yeah, I know what you're talking about but in a bit different sense -- 40*+ ski slopes are hard to comprehend until you are actually on one. The concept of being on such a steep slope that you really can't see down it (and thus have no idea if the next gentle roller is a cliff or not) is probably foreign to most.

Regardless, the mountains and those that navigate them get my respect.
