Ok, I have a 55 gallon fish tank, black stand with storage underneath and matching tank top. I have the lights, and upgraded to glass tops for the tanks, I also have other misc, items like the heater and filters (not sure you will want to use them or not) tanks just needs to be rinsed out good. $100 OBO Matt 952-240-4001 I'm located in Eden Prairie
Its not an acrylic tank, its a glass one. I used it for a bunch of cyclids i had in it. I am sure you could use it for saltwater, but I could be wrong.
You can use it for saltwater, just rinse it out extremely well not using any detergents of any kind and you'll be fine.
can be used for salt or fresh...glass or acrylic wouldn't matter. looks like you'll need some sort of filtration system (bio, chem, and mech/wet& dry/ refugium(my next setup)/ tidepool etc.) for Salt and better lighting if you decide to go reef. Freshwater the basic undergravel and maybe a backup filter and your good to go. But again these are just the bare minimals...for each setup If anyone buys this and needs help setting it up, I'll be glad to help I miss my aquarium, but I'll go'in bigger...muahhhhahahaha...helping the setup should ease a bit on my addiction to start on mine, for now
I'm with you. I work at underwater adventures right now and have been begging to work on the coral tank (personally, I think it sucks). So any help to others would be fun on my part
Kelly, I'll give ya a buzz when I'm gett'in ready for my setup...problem is, I don't think my floors will hold in my living room...I'm estimating the total weight will be around 4000lbs. after everything... plans for next setup: 8ft.x 2ft x 2ft+ :yumyum: 240+gals 300lbs live rock $$$ (figi and tonga) 65 gal. Refugium  Sorry didn't mean to hi-jack the thread...*back on topic* Bump for sale!
i'm thinking of trying to get a job at underwater adventures this summer. i know a girl who used to work there(kelsey something) but she said it was pretty cool...i might be interested if i can find a place to put the tank...not sure as of yet
keep in mind some cute snuggly little salt water critters can shatter glass in point oh 2 seconds... so plan what your gonna put in there.
I have a 55 I might sell to? I have a ton of African Ciclids if anyone buys his 55 and wants fresh water fish that can handle diferent water conditions. These Guys are pretty tough! Ill post a new thread if I decide to sell my 3 tanks. Good luck Impreziv thats a great price your selling that for, Id jump all over it if I didnt already have so many tanks!
good for Freshwater, but I'd steer away from saltwater with canisters...Causes alot of imbalance...holds too much crap in one spot that can cause an ammonia, phospate, nitrate/nitrite spikes (That was my conclusion with my saltwater setup with a canister, after replacing it with a wet/dry system and few powerheads and a big penguin back filter, it solved the issue) oh...can clog as well...
another suggestion Matt...see if you can post up the dimensions of your tank as well...so there isn't any 2nd guessing... BUmp
I'm surprised no one has picked this up yet, my kids love fish and other small creatures for pets. I'll check with my wife and let you know.
A gentle men that not from the boards, I put it on Craigs list and it was sold and delivered in less than 3 hours!!!! Got $120 delivered for it so I'm happy!!
