I got my two Motorola SX900s at Gander MT for about 50 bucks. I recomend them cuz they can take the batteries that come woth them AND also take 3AAA batteries. just a recomendation.

So what's the plan for lunch or are we evening having a lunch? The pace will be soo nice you can even have your GF or wife drive.

In the past we have made a short check list for your car just to avoid any misfortunes that could of been avoided by regular maintenance. Some of the highlights OB1 will be taking you thru will cause a loss of air to the brain as it's very thin up there and some of the roads on the mountain side cliffs will certainly take your breath away as well. A Oxygen tank might not be a bad idea but its not required to participate.

But most important of all just space yourself apart appropriately to so you have room to enjoy the scenery and avoid getting dinged by the rocks kicked from the cars in front. :laugh:

 

I've gone with you guys the past two years and it was a blast. Odds are I will make it this year too, hopefully. The car is certainly still ready as ever, at least it'll give me another reason to keep the summer rubber on :biggrin:

 

So do we need summer tires or all terrain tires??? since there is mountains involved plus rock chips that break winshields...blah blah

Well damn, I am going to be leaving for TN early Sunday so I guess I won't be going on this one, but I will on the 25th, come hell or high water! The LGT is longing for those roads. Don't know how much longer I can hold her back.

 

I will be there as Bill mentioned earlier, just thought I would try out my new and improved screen name

 

Wish I could come. My car won't be ready until Tuesday at the earliest. Unless, the weather isn't bad, I'll consider bringing my bike. Will you guys be going on anything unpaved??

 

It's all paved, but there are sections that sometimes will have a bit of loose gravel or old cow pie on the road, since it is all small country roads.

 

If it werent my mother in law's b-day tomorrow I'd be down. I didnt get enough spirited driveing this summer. Actually, I havnt driven the car beyond the speed limit at all, before today.
The leaves are peaking very nicely now with some great reds and yellows.

Hmm, the Duluth guys are havin a meet at the Hinckley casino buffet on the night of the 25th. And that's not too far from the nice roads of Wisconsin. Maybe you guys can plan something together and meet-up.
