This is an independent event sponsored this year by Subaru Of America, Don Miller Subaru, Rally Armor, Kelly-Moss Motorsports, Madison Sports-Car Club, STRAFE Motorsports, and CH Detailing. HyVee will be bringing grills and grill-masters and Hoffy's Entertainment will be providing the music. Hope to see a caravan coming from the 'Land O Lakes'!!! - Shannon
True. We have people that arrive around 11am and others that attend the dyno day and stay overnight...whether camping at one of the state parks or staying at one of the 5+ major hotels within 1 mile. I totally understand it's a big commitment to drive 3 hrs+ for a meet. Hopefully, I've made it worthwhile.
How far is this from Milwaukee? We are leaving from there back to Fargo that morning (going to king motorsports meet)
It's only a few hours out. It's a whole day back if you know anything about Wisconsin alphabet roads. Just sayin...
Was just in Madison and the cousins were telling me about this. Tempting, but the boring ol drive through Wisconsin just doesn't sound any fun. Lol. Only a good 3+hour drive.
The flier mentions an entry fee or donation to CheeseWheel, Inc. I checked the FB page, and didn't see any mention of how much though.
Hey, gang!! Sorry I didn't get back on here sooner. There isn't an entry fee, but if attendees would like to donate a few bucks to the ALS charity, Cheesewheel, it would help them out a lot. The only entry fees for the weekend are the dyno at $80 for 3 runs and the test-and-tune autocross at $20. If you are thinking about getting a caravan together, I can post up a link on our FB page. We've got one coming down from Green Bay/Appleton and a couple regular groups coming from Milwaukee. There are a few other caravans coming, but I need to track them down, yet. They aren't organized on the net, yet. I can sympathize with you all when it comes to WI traffic and roads. Makes me wonder how any of us can be productive when 99% of the time we're sitting behind someone who thinks the left lane was licensed only to Toyota drivers with more time than ambition. (FR-S owners excluded since the car is, after all, a Subaru) - Shannon
