92 will probably be the highest you'll see in unleaded form.
You can usually find pumps here and there that do non-oxy.
91 is definitely your best bet.

Get 92 from any BP station. It's the best fuel we have around here from my experience with tuning.

In fact, the 92 BP is actually something like 92.89 octane or something like that from what I've read.....so you'll probably be fine.

However, it would be a good idea to have somebody doublecheck your previous tuner's work.

If you're looking for a good non-professional, contact Bullwinkle on here.
If you want a shop, contact RS Motors or Jordan from MAP?

I never really run the 100 stuff cuz most place just add ethnol to 93 to get it there... 110 leaded once UP is replaces with aftermarket catless.

Which brings up another question, once i move up there and renew my plates and registration do the do emission checking?

    No emmissions testing here.

Do you have a special map for race gas? If not, you are wasting your time and money buying 100+ octane fuel.

welcome to MN, btw.... the cold keeps most of the riff raff out. kills ticks, and other pests and is enjoyed by long coat dogs, bears and other aminals that have adapted to the severe winter climate, (you have yet to see cold)

most of the local shops will charge by the hour, so if you are just comfirming wether your tune is good for 92 octane then I don't think it would cost that much for the reasurence that would be provided.

I used to get 93 at Holiday off of Hennepin and Central avenue...but just about everyone on this site has beef with holiday. There are other 93 places, but not as easy to find as you would hope for.

+1, our 92 octane gas also has ~10% (usually more like 15%) ethanol. It's pretty good gas, you can run a good amount of timing on it.

I never understood this. Oxygenated gas will get you better performance. The only thing non-oxy gas will get you is better gas mileage.

That and why if 92 with oxy is bad why is everyone so willing to tune for E-85.

My not so professional logging as WOT and Bull has shown the same thing. My car likes BP 92 with ethanol the best.

They're sister station in wayzata closed down. I've been known to get a tank of 100 before a trip up north so that when I fill up on 91 up there it stays above the 92/93 toonS I have.

Not sure about 93 anymore. If some BP/Shell stations have it they seem to be about 60-90 miles outside of the cities. I know for every octane point they put above 91 the consumer will pay approximately .10c more so that may be the reason for the lack of support the closer you get in the Cities.

There used to be a BP on 96 and Hwy 35E that carried 93 but they demolished that location and put a Holiday up (sigh).

I would either use BP 92 or Shell 92, stay away from Non-oxy since our cars are forced induction and we get a performance benefit from the reduction in intake temperatures due to the ethanol content mixed with the 92 octane fuel. Unless you are tuned for Non-oxy and/or are looking for better mileage, stick with BP or Shell 92 octane oxygenated gas.

I would love to see people petition a few stations around the Cities whether they be BP or Shell to carry 93 octane, 100 octane and E85, and in turn see people on here, MNSportcompacts and Evomn.net patronize them as a reward for carrying the variety.

Because ethanol ****s with carbs and isn't too great for rubber in general. And fuel economy.

I can get 93 from the holiday down the street (the one on Hennepin next to Kolwalskis)
The shell on 46th and Chicago.

Yeah but it's really bad gas. My brother used it once and worked great! Filled it up again in a few days and it started knocking. I would not count 4Season Race Gas.

I buy gas every week at the gas station but the difference between 91 and 92 would not effect a thing. The 91Oct I get and use at my gas station is actually close to 92 but the state rounds it down considering it as 91Oct.

[Great, fresh 93oct can be had in Durand, WI.]

BP's with 93 seem rare around here...lots of 92oct. I axed Nate to be conservative with my 91oct tune assuming I will inevitably have to feed it a fair amount of this flavor gas traversing the hinterlands. The Souparu gets a boner when it finds a 93oct pump.

Yeah, a few BP's used to carry 93. The one in Centerville off of hwy 96 and 35E stopped almost a year ago. I think it's a Holiday now too.

    Souparu? You mean Subparu *ducks*
