Well, im picking up a new car in two weeks and with that im listing my car for sale as i dont need it anymore. The vehicle has 212k on it, 5mt tranny that i thought was going bad but its just noisy shifts fine in and out of all gears, 2.2 motor runs a little rough. Im located in Ashland WI right now, i will be back in NE Minneapolis in two weeks with the vehicle just wanted to give myself a head start. asking price $1,100 OBO!!
    vehicle has:
-electric start and alarm system that is not fully hooked up(thats how i got the car)
-kyb gr2 struts the drivers side rear is blown
-deleted resonator, 2.25 ID axle back that i made connected to a glasspack muffler and trimmed/angled 90 3" tip(i personally love the sound, nice rumble)
    -pioneer cd player
-weapon R intake with cone filter
    -newer spark plugs
-debaged except "impreza" and "awd" badges
    -obs hood and gc8 grill
-DIY black housing headlights and corners
    -DiY ikea mudflaps
-15" steelies with blizzak ws2's(amazing in snow and on dirt ;) )
THE BAD: as stated the motor does run a little rough. the last time i was home i replaced the spark plugs when i did an oil change and what seemed like after that the enine would almost bog/loss of power from 1k-2.5k rpm and pulled regularly around 3k rpms(one thing i did notice was the CEL had been on since i purchased the car over two years ago, it ran fine, and when the problem occured the CEL was off? then after getting back to school it turned on again). after that happened i bought new OEM plugs checked the gap, replaced plug wires, cleaned cone filter, and it still was running funny. but.. when i drove from minneapolis back to school in Ashland WI (3.5hrs) it was running just fine around hinkley until i got to school(still getting 25city-28-30hwy). It has since been lagging around 1k-2.5k. What i think it might be is the injectors, i had a mechanic look at it for a while but he was puzzled, after listening to the engine for a few minutes keeping the throttle around 2k he stated that it did NOT sound like a miss. so with that im selling the car AS-IS
Please check out my photobucket album for more pictures of rust spots, interior, ext angles, engine bay etc. the fairing in the picture is NOT included.

    on with the photo's...

i currently have no interest in parting out, i just do not have the time to deal with all of that. those that would like some parts send me an offer, part it out yourelf, i bet one could make all of it not most of their money back.

as for the new car, i was going to pick up an 06 2.5i in CO but after much thought it was getting far to complicated and i came across an 05 CGM wrx wagon in Chicago that i bought yesterday. picking her up april 21st when the semester is over :)

Ive actually been contacted by another member on here who has first placement in viewing the car when i get back(youre second) I did offer him the option of coming up to the duluth/moose lake area to take a look so if you would want to do this i would be able to meet with you sooner. Give me a call or shoot me a PM if you wana set something up!

Yeah - that was me!

Got your note about heading up north but would just assume wait until you got back into town. When do you arrive?

Regarding your question, Bri - yeah, backup #2 and I really miss the flexibility of a wagon.

just an FYI on the engine studders... check the O2 sensors and the cat(s) in your exhaust, i have a 95 L that has 255k and it started with these problems, swapped the o2, and had a new cat. put in and it runs great... GLWS

Thanks for the advice i'll try to take a look, its a bit strange almost like the shudders come in waves? i would think (could be wrong) MPG would be affected by either an o2 or cat problem but yesterday on my 3.5 hr drive it didnt seem to be doing any worse than usual.

    $1,100 OBO!!

To get it running good i believe it would just be a "minor" part replacement. by that im guessing MAF, 02 sensor, Injectors, or maybe something else. Since i've drove it home from ashland this Wed it has been running a LOT better. she still doesn't like to be run cold (good thing it has electric start) but once warmed up it accelerates normally unless you floor it in low RPM's. honestly, if you or anyone would like to have the vehicle looked at to determine the issue before purchasing i would have no problem with that, though i am not willing to pay for this service.

As for the 04' forester suspension, im pretty sure they would work as long as you swapped out tophats. maybe someone else can chime in who might know better, but i will do some searching on NASIOC. i did want to lift it at one point and i remember something about 04-05 specific fozz suspension working.
