so i was driving down to the taste of MN tonight and i had a car full of chicks, and i start smelling this burning smell, and then i come up to a stop light and hear a grinding noise in the rear of my car, so i pulled onto a side road and it turns out that one of my rear axle seal went out and my rear diff is fried now, i had to have my car towed back home and it ruined my night, so now i need a whole new rear diff, if anyone can help me out, please do! Its 97' legacy gt with a manual tranny , i know that wrx diffs will be compatible with my car, so please help me if u can
You're in Rogers, eh? I grew up out there! Very soon I will be needing a rear diff myself (2000 RS 5MT). Do you think there's a way to get a "group buy" going on something like this? (Undiscounted dealer estimate was $1425 new part plus $340 R&R labor!)
