i want to know the size bolt pattern and offset of my car its a 1998 legacy GT. its got the stock 16" bbs wheels on it if that helps i want to know everything that is nessary about my wheels are they 5x100? etc.

also for the 2.5rs or legacy owner. do have really short gear ratios? its a 5 speed too- because when im at 60mph im rev'ing at around 2600 2700 and when i am at 80mph im damn near 4000 :ugh:anyones insight would be awesome.

cool thats for both questions answered in advance guys!

Yes, 5x100. You can go as aggressive as you want for offset and width. With that said, you may have to roll or trim your fenders and run lots of negative camber with coilovers.

What size wheels do you want to run, 17s? 18's?

If you go too crazy from a 45 or 48 offset (I believe that's stock) you may run into wheel bearing issues.

ahh yes just what i needed- the gear ratios to my and other cars. thanks. and yes im already a member there, i dont really go on it though cuz i dont know how to navigate. anyways. cool thanks to everyone who helped me out.
and Dave, no im not gonna put rims on her yet its just for future referance so i can follow modification threads a little easier.

but ive got another question is the offset how the wheel sits on the hub?? (such as negative/positive camber)

I still maintain that you pick up some 04 sti wheels in silver or gold. Preferably silver, but it's your car, not mine! ;)

FYI, your Legacy 2.5GT runs the same GEARING as 97-99? Forestor, Impreza 2.5RS 98-'01, '96-'01 Impreza L (except the Impreza L runs a 3.900 Final drive).

Pretty much the Subaru 2.5L's run the same tranny for 5spds w/ the 4.111. Exceptions are the Legacy Outback/OUTBACK which just has a shorter 5th gear. Another exception are the NEWER Imprezas where only the 2.5RS SPORT has the 4.111, and Legacy 2.5GT has the 4.111 where as the regular Legacu will only have the 3.900FD, BUT they all run the same gearing '02+ (outback changed to the longer 1st & 2nd gear at '00).

SO in short, you're on the same GEARING as a '98-'01 2.5RS, and SAME tranny as '98 2.5RS.

yea i kind of figured that. theres goods and bads to the low final drive ratio. and one is. you dont ever have to drop it on the highway to pass that prick :)
