99 Legacy GT sedan, slight mods. $2500

Description:

Its a 1999 Subaru LGT, green on black/grey interior, 5speed manual transmission, 2.5 DOHC engine, AWD. Car was owned by a Professor Gellar and his wife from the UofM. Car was used to drive them from the UofM to the Uof Iowa mainly (means most likely 90% highway mileage). Head gaskets went out on their way back from Iowa last spring and they decided not to dump more money into it so they sold the car to Elko Auto Service. They then fixed it and I purchased it last spring. Ive put most of my mileage on driving to school, work and Milaca for the better half this year.

Specs:
217,xxx miles on the car. Will go up as its my daily driver.
Basic and extensive maintenance done in last 20k miles!
Ball joints, tie rod ends, alignment done at 199xxx at Tires Plus Mankato.
Head gaskets have been done at 206k miles! Done at Elko Auto Service in May of 2010. All OEM gaskets were used including updated Head Gaskets. Heads were resurfaced, hot tanked and pressure checked at time of replacement. New OEM water pump, valve cover gaskets were also used. New Gates Timing belt at time too. The shop is willing to warranty work as discussed when I purchased the car from them.
Car is run on only RotellaT and it loves it.
There are some slight and tasteful upgrades as well.

Upgrades/Mods:
Custom 3†Short ram intake
Custom 2.5†Catback, ends in a vibrant 3†street series muffler. Sounds great!
Custom hitch setup. Used this to tow my SV1000 to Brainerd for MAP Proving Grounds 2010.
Custom/mesh grille. Could use a respray in black.
DDM HIDs high/low 6000k in headlights
DDM HIDs in fogs. Yellow Laminex over fogs.

The stock power is 35w but I ordered the 55w kit, so power needs to be tapped and plugged in.
15â€x7†Mille Miglia 1000 wheels with Blizzak winter tires. No longer have stock wheels.

Bads:
Has a heat shield rattle from the main cat. Not constantly though.
Has a small oil leak from a valve cover gasket.
Has its fair share of bumps, and bruises.
Quarter size rust on the passenger wheel well. Surface only.


Pictures are to follow very soon, just need to get it washed first. Only reason for sale is that I am looking for something slightly bigger now that I have to fit the kid in the car. Any questions let me know.

FYI Legacy Wagons (outbacks) have more leg room and cargo room than the Impreza based Forester.

 

I tested out a Forester the other day and fitted my car seat in it and it definitely fit better for me, some of that may be the fact I wasnt bending down and needing to kinda climb in to get him locked in.
