    Hey guys,

So when I swapped the 2.5 in my car last year I think I kinked a hose and my A/C system is empty. So I was planning on getting 2 new hoses. Whenever an A/C system is open you are supposed to replace the drier. On the 2002 models the drier is part of the condenser and you have to replace the whole thing! That's $360 from the dealer and the hoses are another $280 together. Zoinks!

Has anyone brought their old hoses in to get remade? I have heard this is possible and alot cheaper.

I have heard that the '03 up imprezas had a different condenser that has a replaceable drier (which is only like $60). Do they have a different compressor too? I would imagine the hoses are different.

Removing the A/C isn't an option for me either. My plan is to replace the hoses, the condenser (mine is banged up pretty good from rocks) and drier. Then take it to the dealer and have them fill the system. I would like to upgrade to the newer system though if possible.

I'll bring the stuff to GrimmSpeed tonight. I should be there around 6 or so. I need to have Fobia look at my downpipe anyway.
