So, I had my a/c recharged at roseville firestone on wednesday. It seemed to work ok for the rest of the day while I worked. Til about 11pm. I didn't drive my car until about 7:30pm on thursday. About halfway through my trip to practice, I tried my a/c and I got nothing but warm air. I didn't even feel the compressor come on. The a/c light was on, but I could tell nothing was running. Fan was running on high and running fine.

I also see green dye on the high and low side lines, below the low side cap. Right before it goes into the passenger side of the cabin. Its all over the lines. Could it be a switch of some sort? Or a leak? Or could my compressor have died?

Anyone got any tricks or input?
    Thanks,

    - Justin K.

^^either that or a slow leak developed to cause your AC Refrigerant to leak out in the first place. I advise you to take it back and have them check it. If it was their fault, they should give you a free refill. If it was yours, ask if you can have it refilled (since you've already paid them) after you get your AC system fixed.

Apparently, there's a small leak in the low pressure line. I figured they would've detected that with the green dye that's all over my line and been able to get the part during the week. Supposedly, he can't get the part today cause dealerships are closed. So I'm sol this evening as I have to work all day and night delivering pies :-/ anyone know where I can get that part in 1 hour? :) they're not gonna charge me for a recharge though. Which I guess is cool. But I thought the point of the dye was to find leaks during the recharge process. I obviously had one since I only had a/c for onw day and it leaked out. This sux. It's too figgin hot to not have any a/c today. Especially when everyone is gonna want delivery today cause they're not crazy enough to step foot outside the house for food.

the dye is in it to 'help' detect leaks... unless it is a major leak it could take anywhere from a day to weeks to leak out....
