Has anybody installed an A/F gauge in their rex? Do I really need to tap into the ecu or can I splice my O2 sensor wire? Getting lazy, anybody or any shop that can install this? Let me know. Thanks

Another question? Are both my O2 sensors narrowband? Or is one a narrowband and the other a wideband sensor?

You need a wideband sensor. neither of your 02 sensors is wideband.

i just put a wideband and gauge into my car last week.

now i am not sure if this info carrys over from the older L model imprezas to the WRXs. but heres what i got. the o2 sensors have 3 wires. prolly 2 whites and a black. the black wire is the signal, while the whites are +12v and ground. the signal wire runs directly from the o2 sensor to the ECU. so it really doesnt matter where you splice in. if you do it inside next to the ECU you will not need to run the wires through the firewall, also you will have to worry lessa bout water and crud getting stuck in you wire connections.

    any more questions?

look up the ecu pinout for the rear o2 sensor. tap in the signal line.
    whala!
i would stress that you cannot tune on this whatso ever.
it's more of a cat efficency meter.
