    Do they seriously run F1 cars with headers that hot or was that engine just way lean? Man would the thing last during a race?

    it sounded like that thing was idling at 7000 rpm in the beginning there.

    Anytime you run a car hard for a period of time it will glow red hot...

    My old 12a turbo RX7 would get the turbo CHERRY red kinda like the headers I assume(didnt watch it) where you could almost see inside it... was pretty funny wacthing the reactions when you opened the hood in the middle of the Highway (side of the ighway were we skreet raced - though we dont condone it yada yada) then my buddy who used to own it would lean in and light a cigarette off of the turbo... ha ha ha

    so thats y they are said to over heat fast if driven hard?
