http://www.autoweek.com/article/20130213/GENEVA/130219945 "Power peaks at 354 hp, some 146 hp above the standard engine to provide AMG's keenly awaited entry level model with a specific power output of 177 hp per liter of engine capacity. Torque has also grown to 332 lb-ft on a band of revs between 2,250 and 5,000 rpm. By comparison, the BMW M135i hatchback's turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder petrol engine delivers 320 hp and 332 lb-ft, while the Audi RS3's turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder gasoline powerplant kicks out 340 hp and 332 lb-ft. With a claimed 0-62 mph time of 4.6 seconds, the A45 AMG betters the rear-wheel drive M135i hatchback's time by 0.5 second, while matching that of the now-discontinued RS3. Despite the car's rabid performance, Mercedes-Benz claims impressive economy for its new hatchback charge. With features such as automatic stop/start and brake-energy recuperation, it boasts official combined cycle consumption of 34.1 mpg on the European cycle." Not bad for a 2.0
I'd rock one of those. I'd rather have an E63 AMG wagon, but this could do until I have six figures burning a hole in my pocket.
The problem is the cost is much higher since you have to move to a different country in order to get one.
They are bringing it to the US. On another note, just wanted to post it up. I like what I've read about the engine and the car looks pretty good.(IMO.) But I would never buy one.
I said "based" Implying its 4wd system is based off of a fwd setup, like an evo, a crv, or anything else with the engine spun around (imo) the wrong way .
Yup your right. I guess I should stop posting when I'm at work. Lol. In my defense I have the next couple days off so my mind is somewhere else.
