So two questions. Been trying to bleed the brakes on the wife's 04 WRX auto. After doing a two man bleed of all four corners in the correct order. Pass Front, Driver Rear, Driver Front, Pass Rear. The brakes are still squishy. I wanted to activate the ABS so I plugged the two grounding pins into the black connector (Terminals 3 and 6) when I turn the key to On, the ABS light goes on, but when I push the brakes it doesn't cycle. I have all four corners of the car off the ground would rather cycle it like this VS take it out and cycle it while braking. Does anyone have any ideas why it wouldn't cycle? Does anyone have a scan tool that can interface with the ABS and cycle it?

    Also

I've got an Idatalink unit for a remote start that I need flashed, does anyone local have the Weblink tool to do this? (Not for the WRX)

You might want to check of FreeSSM can do this for you.

FreeSSM works off most usb>obd2 cables and has acces to TCU/ECU function.

Not sure FreeSSM will work. Searched for FreeSSM ABS, nothing saying it works. However I have a Tactrix cable and it's free so I will give it a shot. I also found a manual that has some diffrent info about activating the ABS using the diagnostic connector. Apparently your supposed to ground pin 6 then cycle the key to ON then power off and then connect pin 3. Will do some messing around tonight.

If you are not driving the car, and can leave it on stands for a day or so, try looking up gravity bleeding.
I've done this and it seemed to work pretty well with getting rid of pesky air bubbles.
