Ac issue

So last year the ac worked fine. First time I used it this year it started out blowing cold, then would blow hot for a while. It goes back and forth between hot and cold. I added about 10oz of a recharge kit and not much change. One thing I noticed is the clutch on the compressor never kicks off, but it kicks on and off in the winter when using the defroster. It's a 15wrx any ideas?

 

If the clutch is spinning while the a/c is off the clutch might be bad.

 

Well it cycles when the defrost is on like it should but when using the ac it don't cycle

 

The first thing that comes to mind is expansion valve.

 

So might have figured this out. From my research 15+ it looked like Subaru was having issues with compressors, mainly the clutch. The air gap on the clutch get to big, you can take the clutch off and remove a shim and it seems to fix it.

 

And it's fixed, easy enough.
