WTF is the difference? HAHA i read the little blurb in the ap manual but still can't figure out what the difference is. Can some one explain to my retartded a$$ how they differ?
Easiest way to think about is that the base map is the actual flash on the ecu. A realtime map is adjustments made to the base map. If you pull your battery out and the ecu resets it will be back at the base map. A base map (depending on car) can take anywhere from 10-45 minutes to flash. A realtime takes about 10 seconds. When it comes to tuning the base map allows for A LOT more options. Realtime really only has a few boost parameters, primary ignition, primary fuel. Base has all sorts of CEL removers, tip-in fuel, AVCS...the list goes on forever in the protuner software. Hope that helps. Steve-o
