Ok Folks - I am the proud owner of a 2004 Forester XT full STi swap tuned to stage 2, yes, it's the best car I've ever owned...and it's mighty swift! I met an unfriendly TL driver on the road this evening who I ended up next to at a stop light...them, thinking their late model TL was extra sweet, and fast, thought they could beat me back to the speed limit Now, I know I'm faster, but what do my fine fellow friends on MN Subaru think...?! BTW, TL guy was so upset by the results that for the whole rest of our voyage together he was cutting dudes off and driving like a maniac to prove his point...I on the other hand drove the speed limit and somehow still got to the same exit before him...just goes to show, drive smarter, not harder.
I hate people that pull up next to you and always want to race. It gets really annoying because its always a 100% stock car or a riced out honduh.
That would crack me up. I love sleepers. There's a certain tongue-in-cheek humor about that kind of project that I really dig.
That is an awesome sleeper! I know I enjoyed more than one confused face when I beat people in my multicolored old ratty-looking 93' SS
same situation with me when some guy in a lancer driving like he has an evo trying to cut me off and couldnt do so as my dads accord vtak was too much for him...lol and obviously he did the ricer flyby afterwards.
Yeah there is a guy in Albert lea where I live that has a boosted civic. Silver, stock looking wheels, FMIC, but sure sounds FAR from stock. I'd race him, but I'm thinking he would run me down on the top end. Maybe I set up a January race?
Flyby epic fail story....Years ago I was driving on the freeway in my 90 eclipse, and an integra would not stop trying to get me to race. Coming out of the next toll both, I laid it down on him (up to the speed limit) and he did the flyby at 90 mph, cutting over 2 lanes in front of me (of course looking back at me), only to lose control, spin around and crash into the concrete median.
Sounds like street racing...very bad idea, could have been worse in a school zone. Next time do a quarter mile at the track.
It was always so tempting when I had my stg 2 FXTi. Some years ago on an old abandoned straightaway, I've raced mustang GTs, Hondas and Acuras, etc. Almost every one of them ate my treads. Good times. BUT the great benefit of having a ton of power over an army of angry losers isn't so great when you factor in jail time, towing, fines, insurance premium hikes, and death/permant disability. Make only the wisest of decisions and be careful out there.
